Roane State Community College’s men’s Basketball team is a force to be reckoned with. The Raiders are consistently ranked in the top ten of the National junior college Athletic Association (NJCAA), and they have won eight conference championships in the past ten years.

The team is led by Head Coach Lonnie Bowser, who has been at the helm for fourteen years. Under Bowser’s leadership, the Raiders have amassed an impressive record of 620-176 (.779 winning percentage).

The Raiders have made nine appearances in the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship tournament, and they have finished as national runner-up twice. In 2019, the team made history by becoming the first Community College team from Tennessee to win a game in the tournament.

This year, the Raiders are once again ranked in the top ten of the NJCAA, and they are poised to make another run at a National Championship led by head coach Lonnie Bowser with an all-time record of 620-176, Roane State is looking good to bring home another trophy.
