Barletta, 37, was drafted by the Rangers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut with the team in 2006. He played four seasons with the Rangers before being traded to the Bruins in 2010. He played six seasons with the Bruins before being bought out of his contract in 2016.

Since then, Barletta has been playing Professional Hockey in Europe. He spent two seasons with HC Lugano in Switzerland and one season with HC Fribourg-Gotteron. He most recently played for HC Ambri-Piotta of the Swiss National League A.

In 14 seasons of NHL play, Barletta tallied 39 goals and 87 assists for a total of 126 points. He also appeared in 18 Playoff Games tallying two goals and two assists.
