Saint Mary’s Men’s Basketball is a college Basketball team that competes in the NCAA Division I. The team is a member of the West Coast Conference and plays its home games at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas Nevada.
The team is currently coached by Randy Bennett, who has been at the helm since 2001. Under Bennett’s leadership, the team has seen considerable success, including 14 NCAA tournament appearances and four conference championships
The 2019-20 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but not before Saint Mary’s put together an impressive 23-7 record. The team will look to build on this success in the 2020-21 season and beyond.
The Team
The Saint Mary’s Men’s basketball team is comprised of student athletes who have a passion for the game and a strong work ethic. The team is coached by Randy Bennett, who has been with the program since 2001. The team has made fourteen NCAA Tournament appearances, including five in the past six years.
The Schedule
The 2017-2018 Saint Mary’s Men’s Basketball Schedule has not yet been released. The team will play in the 2017 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational November 23-24. Additional games and the Conference Schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Fans
The fans are a big part of Saint Mary’s basketball. They are known for being very loud and supportive. The student section is called “The Den” and they are known for being rowdy and intense. The fans make a big difference in the game and the team feeds off of their energy.
The Rivalry
The Rivalry is a documentary that tells the story of the storied rivalry between the Saint Mary’s Gaels and the Gonzaga Bulldogs The film chronicles the teams’ intense competition on and off the court, as well as their deep respect for one another.
The Tournament
The NCAA tournament is the annual championship tournament for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men’s basketball. Held every March, the tournament features 68 teams from across the country competing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the National Champion Saint Mary’s has made appearances in the tournament on nine occasions, most recently in 2017.

The Saint Mary’s Men’s Basketball team has a long and successful history, dating back to the early 1900s. The team has won numerous championships and produced many successful players, including Hall of Famer Hank Gathers. Today, the team is one of the most competitive in the nation, consistently contending for conference and National Championships

Welcome to Saint Mary’s Men’s Basketball. We are a Division I Basketball Program located in Moraga, California. Our mission is to develop student-athletes through positive coaching, academic excellence, and a commitment to service. We are proud to have produced 12 NBA players and many more professional and collegiate-level athletes.
Our team features a high-energy, up-tempo style of play that is exciting for both players and fans alike. We pride ourselves on our tough defense and our ability to score in transition. Our goal is to win the West Coast Conference each year and make a deep run in the NCAA tournament
