The Samford Baseball Team scored another win on Tuesday afternoon, defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 6-4. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 26-17 on the season and remain in first place in the Southern Conference Standings

Tuesday’s victory was highlighted by a strong performance from starting pitcher Brandon Williamson, who went seven innings and allowed just two runs while striking out six. The Bulldogs’ offense also got going early, scoring three runs in the first inning and never looking back.

The win marked the second straight for Samford over Alabama and extended the team’s Winning Streak to five games. The Bulldogs will now turn their attention to a three-game series against conference rival Appalachian State which begins on Thursday.

This is the second year in a row that the Bulldogs have beaten the Chargers, and they have now won four out of their last five games against them. Samford pitcherJake Wilcox got the win on Saturday, pitching seven innings and giving up just two runs.

This was a close game with the Bulldogs leading for most of it. However, in the bottom of the ninth inning the other team scored two runs to tie the game.

The Bulldogs were not deterred though, and in the top of the Tenth Inning they scored three runs to take the lead again. The bullpen held strong and Samford won the game 6-3.

This was a Big Win for Samford and they are now one step closer to their goal of winning the conference championship

In Friday’s game, Samford got off to a hot start, scoring three runs in the first inning. Alabama answered with one run in the bottom of the inning, but that would be all the scoring for either team. In Sunday’s rubber match Samford came out swinging and never looked back. They put up five runs in the first inning and cruised to an 8-2 win. With that win, they take the series against Alabama and cement their place as one of the top teams in college baseball
