Introducing the Slippery Rock High School Basketball Roster for the 2017-2018 season!

This year’s team is looking to Bounce Back after a disappointing 2016-2017 season in which they finished with a record of 12-12. Coach Smith has been hard at work in the off-season, recruiting some new talent and installing a new system that he believes will lead the team to success. Here is a look at this year’s roster:

The Slippery Rock high school basketball team is made up of 12 talented individuals who work together to give the best performance on the court. The team is coached by Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Jenny Brown.

The starting lineup for the team is:

The team’s strengths include their shooting ability, speed, and teamwork. Their weaknesses are their lack of size and experience. However, this does not mean that they are not a force to be reckoned with on the court!

As the winter season approaches, the Slippery Rock High School’s basketball teams are preparing to defend their home court against some tough rival teams. Some of the teams they will be facing off against this year are:

The North Allegheny Tigers:
The Tigers are always a tough team to beat. They have a strong defense and can shoot threes well. They will be looking to take down the Rock this year.

The Pine-Richland Rams:
The Rams are another team with a strong defense. They like to play a physical brand of basketball and are always looking to get out in transition and score easy baskets.

The Bethel Park Blackhawks:
The Blackhawks always have a deep roster full of talented players. They play a fast-paced style of basketball and are always looking to push the tempo.

The Seneca Valley Raiders:
The Raiders are a tough team to beat at home. They have a great deal of fan support and always seem to make Big Shots when they need them most.

The fans

The fans at Slippery Rock High School basketball games are some of the most passionate and dedicated in the country. They show up early to get the best seats in the house, and they stay late to support their team, no matter the score.

The season wrap-up

The Slippery Rock high school basketball team ended their season with a hard-fought loss to rival New Castle in the semifinals of the district tournament The team finishes the season with a record of 15-9, their best since 2013.

Despite the loss, the team showed great improvement throughout the season. They were led by senior captain Jake Brown, who averaged 19 points per game Other top contributors included junior forwards Matt Miller and Kyle Smith, who both averaged over 10 points per game

The team will lose Brown and several other key seniors to graduation, but with most of their core players returning, they should be in good shape to compete for a spot in the playoffs next year.
