We are excited to announce that the Stamford Corners baseball league will be expanding to include a team in Stamford, CT.

So Con Baseball is coming to Stamford, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ll be hosting the South Connecticut Owls for their inaugural season, and we can’t wait to show off our amazing stadium.
This is a huge coup for our city, and we’re sure that the Owls will quickly become one of Stamford’s favorite teams Make sure to get your tickets early so you don’t miss a single game!
The History of the Stamford Franchise
In the early days of baseball, Stamford was home to a minor league team known as the Stamford Blues. The Blues were established in 1877 and were a part of the Connecticut State League. They played their home games at Long Ridge Park, which was located in the Long Ridge section of Stamford. The team was not affiliated with any Major League team and consisted mostly of local players.
The Blues were one of the most successful teams in the league, winning the championship in 1890. However, the team disbanded in 1892 due to financial problems.
In 1909, a new minor league team called the Stamford Beavers was established. The Beavers were a part of the Connecticut League and played their home games at Wrights Field, which was located in Downtown Stamford. The team was not affiliated with any Major League team and consisted mostly of local players.
The Beavers were one of the most successful teams in the league, winning the championship in 1909 and 1910. However, the team disbanded in 1911 due to financial problems.
In 1912, a new Minor League team called the Stamford Senators was established. The Senators were a part of the Connecticut League and played their home games at Wrights Field, which was located in Downtown Stamford. The So Con baseball team is moving to Stamford, Connecticut! We are so excited to have a professional team in our city. The team’s new home will be at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

The Concessions
It’s official – So Con Baseball is coming to Stamford! The new team, which will be a part of the Atlantic League of professional baseball Clubs, will start playing at the newly-renovated dicey stadium in 2020.
One of the things that fans can look forward to is the concessions. The team has partnered with some local businesses to provide a variety of food options for fans.
There will be traditional concession stand fare like hot dogs hamburgers, and nachos, as well as more unique items like artisanal pizzas, homemade soups, and locally-sourced ice cream Plus, there will be a vegan/vegetarian stand with fresh salads and sandwiches.
