After an amazing season, the Syracuse Orangemen are headed to the College World Series! This is their first appearance in the CWS since 2001, and fans are more excited than ever.

The Orangemen had a bit of a rocky start to their season, but they quickly turned things around and ended up winning their conference tournament They now have a chance to compete against the best teams in the country for a chance at the National Championship

The Syracuse Orangemen’s College World Series History

The Syracuse Orangemen are headed to the College World Series for the first time since 2012! The Orangemen have a rich history in the college Baseball Tournament appearing in it a total of eleven times. This will be their first appearance in the College World Series since 2012, when they lost to eventual champions Arizona in the semifinals.

Syracuse has a long and storied history in the college baseball tournament, appearing in it a total of eleven times. Their first appearance came in 1989, when they lost to eventual champions Wichita State in the quarterfinals. They made it back to the tournament in 1991 and 1992, but were unable to make it past the Opening Round It wasn’t until 2001 that Syracuse finally broke through and made it to the College World Series for the first time ever. They made it back again in 2002 and 2003 before finally breaking through and winning the whole thing in 2004. Since then, they’ve been back to the College World Series four more times, most recently in 2012 when they lost to eventual champions Arizona.

This year’s team is led by junior pitcher Alex Lange who was recently named Big East Pitcher of the Year. The Orangemen will look to him to lead them deep into the tournament and bring home Syracuse’s first ever College World Series championship.

Ranked second on the Orangemen with a .333 batting average and 17 home runs and was third with 36 RBI as a junior in 2011. Ranked fourth on the Orangemen in Slugging percentage (.575), fifth in on base percentage (.413), and led Syracuse with 49 walks.

The Syracuse Orangemen’s College World Series Schedule

The Syracuse Orangemen are set to take on the Texas Longhorns in the College World Series The best-of-three series starts on Saturday, June 15th at 7 pm EST.

Game 2 will be played on Sunday, June 16th at 7 pm EST. If necessary, Game 3 will be played on Monday, June 17th at 7 pm EST.

All games will be televised on ESPN.

The Orangemen will take on the UNC Tarheels on Saturday, June 15th at 8:00 PM EST on ESPN. Then, they’ll face off against the Oregon State Beavers on Monday, June 17th at 3:00 PM EST on ESPN2.

On Wednesday, June 19th, Syracuse will play the UCLA Bruins at 9:00 PM EST on ESPN. If the Orangemen win that game, they’ll advance to the College World Series Finals!
