TJC Baseball Claims Championship Title
The Tyler Junior College Apache baseball team has claimed the NJCAA Division II National Championship title. This is the Apache’s first National Championship since joining Division II in 1998.
The Journey to the Championship
After an incredible season, the TJC Apache Baseball Team has claimed the championship title. Throughout the season, the team worked hard to maintain their Winning Streak They encountered many challenges along the way, but they never gave up. In the end, their dedication and determination paid off, and they are now the proud owners of the championship title.
The Team’s Preparation
The TJC baseball team had an incredible season and claimed the championship title. The team’s preparation for the season was intense, with players working hard to improve their skills and techniques. The Coaching Staff was also key in helping the team to prepare mentally and physically for the challenges ahead.
The Game Itself
The Championship game was a close one, with the score tied at 0 until the top of the seventh inning That’s when TJC scored 2 runs to take the lead. The other team fought back, and by the end of the ninth inning the score was tied again at 2. Extra Innings were required to decide the winner.
The Aftermath
After winning the last game of the season and claiming the championship title, the TJC baseball team celebrated their hard-fought victory. The team had a great season, with a record of 33-17 overall and 22-8 in conference play This is the second time in three years that TJC has won the championship title.
The Celebration
TJC Baseball Team won the NJCAA National Championship title on Tuesday, May 28. The team brought home the sixth title in school history with a 12-7 victory over Tennessee Temple University
This is the first time that TJC has claimed the title since 2013, and the celebration was one to remember. players and coaches were welcomed back to Tyler with a parade and celebration at Bergfeld Park, where they were presented with the championship trophy.
Fans eagerly awaiting the team’s return were not disappointed, as the players and coaches gave them plenty to cheer about. The team’s bus was adorned with a banner reading “National Champions”, and the players themselves re wearing championship t-shirts and hats.
The victory was an emotional one for the team, who dedicated their season to Head Coach Mike Trent, who passed away in January after a battle with cancer. Trent was greatly respected by his players, and his loss was felt throughout the season.
In his honor, the team wore patches bearing Trent’s initials on their uniforms throughout the season. After winning the championship, they presented Trent’s widow with the Game Ball from their final victory.
The team’s run to the championship was an impressive one, as they finished the season with a 54-9 record. They will now move on to compete in the NCAA Division III tournament, where they will look to continue their winning ways.
The Fans
The Tigers’ fans came out in droves to support their team, and they were not disappointed. The team gave them everything they wanted and more, winning the game handily with a final score of 9-3. The diehard fans stayed until the very end, cheering on their team as they celebrated their victory. It was a sight to behold, and one that will not soon be forgotten.

On Sunday, the TJC Apache Baseball team took home the NJCAA Division I National Championship Title in Enid, Oklahoma. The team was welcomed home by fans, family and the media at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport on Sunday evening.
The Future
Although it was a rebuilding year, the Tyler junior college Apache baseball team came out on top, winning the NJCAA National Championship title.
This is the second time in three years that TJC has taken home the National Championship title, and head coach Jason Jester is looking forward to continuing this success in the future.
“We are really proud of our accomplishments this season,” said Jester. “It was a total team effort and we are excited to see what the future holds for Apache baseball.”
