Basketball is a game played between two teams of five players each, on a rectangular court. The objective is to shooting a ball through a hoop 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter and 10 feet (3.048 m) high mounted to a backboard at each end of the court. The game was invented in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith and has evolved into one of the world’s most popular and widely watched sports.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) has released the high school basketball brackets for the 2022 season. The brackets are divided into four classes, with Class AAA being the largest schools and Class A being the smallest.

There are a total of 64 teams in each class, meaning there are 256 teams total in the state of Tennessee that will be competing for a chance to win a State Championship The brackets were released on TSSAA’s website on February 11, 2022.

The first round of the State Tournament will begin on Monday, February 21st and will conclude on Saturday, February 26th. The second round will take place the following week, on March 1st-5th. The quarterfinals will be played on March 8th-12th, with the semifinals taking place on March 15th-19th.

The state Championship Games will be played at Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Saturday, March 26th.

The Tennessee high school Basketball Brackets for the 2022 season were released on Monday, December 21st. The brackets are available on the Tennessee high school Athletic Association’s website.

The Tennessee high school basketball Brackets for the 2022 season have been released. The brackets are divided into four regions, with each region containing 16 teams. The top two teams in each region will advance to the state tournament which will be held at the Tennessee State University in Nashville.

In the Class A bracket, top seed Cloudland will take on Unaka. Second seed Hampton will face off against North Greene. Third seed South Greene will battle it out with Midway. And fourth seed Hancock County will play against Austin East.

In the Class AA bracket, top seed East will take on Bearden. Second seed Whitehaven will face off against Hardin Valley. Third seed Christ Presbyterian Academy will battle it out with Dobyns-Bennett. And fourth seed Brentwood will play against Portland.

In the Class AAA bracket, top seed Memphis East will take on White Station. Second seed MUS will face off against Germantown Houston. Third see Antioch will battle it out with Bolton. And fourth see Oakland will play Raleigh-Egypt.
