The Infielders
The following students will make up the infield for the Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team during the upcoming season These talented young men have worked hard to earn their spot on the roster and will represent TTU with honor.
1. first baseman – Junior Peters
2. second baseman – sophomore Jake paxton
3. shortstop – freshman Ryan Black
4. third baseman – junior Timmy Johnson
The Outfielders
The Outfielders
The outfield is often considered the most important defensive position in baseball, as they are responsible for stopping any balls hit in their direction. The outfielders for the Texas Tech Red Raiders this season are:
Junior Torin Caldwell – Caldwell is from Dripping Springs, Texas, and he bats and throws left-handed. In his sophomore season, Caldwell started all 56 games in left field and led the team in putouts with 156. He also had a batting average of .293 with four home runs and 28 RBIs.
Freshman Dylan Neuses – Neuses is from San Antonio Texas, and he bats right-handed but throws left-handed. Neuses was a highly touted recruit coming out of High School and he is expected to be one of the team’s best hitters. He has good speed and should be able to cover a lot of ground in center field.
Sophomore Grant Little – Little is from Midland, Texas, and he bats left-handed but throws right-handed. Little started 47 games in right field as a freshman and had a batting average of .288 with two home runs and 30 RBIs. He has a strong arm and will be counted on to make some big plays in the outfield this season.
The Catchers
One of the most important positions on a Baseball Team is catcher. The catcher is responsible for handling the pitching staff, calling the game, and making sure that base runners do not steal. The Texas Tech baseball team has a solid roster of catchers for the upcoming season
Freshman Sean Tyler will be one of the primary catchers for the Red Raiders this season. Tyler is a highly-rated recruit who was ranked as the No. 3 catcher in his class by perfect game USA. He has a strong arm and is an excellent Defensive Player
Junior college transfer Dylan Neuse will also see significant time behind the plate for TTU this season. Neuse was named a junior college All-American last year after throwing out 46% of would-be base stealers. He also has good pop at the plate and should provide some power from the catcher position.
Rounding out the catching corps is senior Collin Coolidge. Coolidge did not see much action last year, but he is a veteran presence on the team and will be a valuable asset as a backup catcher and pinch hitter.
The Pitchers
The Texas Tech baseball team is set to have an amazing season this year. They have a lot of young and talented pitchers that are ready to take the field. Here is a list of the pitchers that will be on the roster for the upcoming season
-Cameron Warren: A junior from San Antonio Warren is a right-handed pitcher who has a great fastball. He is expected to be one of the team’s top pitchers this season.
– Clayton Beeter: A sophomore from Lubbock, Beeter is a right-handed pitcher who has a great slider. He is expected to be one of the team’s top pitchers this season.
– Ryan Shetter: A senior from Katy, Shetter is a left-handed pitcher who has a great curveball. He is expected to be one of the team’s top pitchers this season.
– Ty Harpenau: A junior from San Antonio Harpenau is a right-handed pitcher who has a great changeup. He is expected to be one of the team’s top pitchers this season.
– Bryce Bonnin: A sophomore from Katy, Bonnin is a left-handed pitcher who has a great fastball. He is expected to be one of the team’s top pitchers this season.
The Coaching Staff
The Coaching Staff for the upcoming season includes Head Coach Tim Tadlock, Associate head coach Jamey Johnson, Pitching Coach Eric Hughes, Hitting Coach TravisYates, and Volunteer Assistant Brooks Nichols.
The Schedule
The full schedule for the upcoming season has not yet been released, but we do know that the first game will be on February 14th, at home against New Mexico State The conference opener will be on March 3rd, at home against Oklahoma.

The Gear
The following is a list of the gear that the Texas Tech University baseball team will be using for the upcoming season The list includes gloves, bats, and helmets.
The Fans
The true fans of any Baseball Team are the ones who show up to the games, no matter what the weather is like or what the team’s record is. They are the ones who are die-hard about their team and know all of the players by name. They live and breathe baseball. And, they are always there to support their team, through thick and thin.
The TTU baseball roster for the upcoming season is filled with talented players who are sure to give the fans plenty to cheer about. Headlining the roster is pitcher Tyler Glasnow, who was recently named baseball’s top prospect by MLB.com. Glasnow is a hard-throwing right-hander who has already made a name for himself at the Major League level, as he was a key member of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ pitching staff during their run to the playoffs in 2015.
Also on the roster is infielder/outfielder Josh Bell, who is widely regarded as one of the best hitting prospects in all of baseball. Bell has a sweet swing and terrific power, and he should be a staple in the middle of TTU’s lineup for years to come.
Rounding out the roster are a handful of other talented young players including catcher Reese McGuire, shortstop Kevin Newman and outfielder Austin Meadows. Each of these players has a bright future in baseball, and they will be counted on to contribute right away for TTU.
With such a talented roster, TTU baseball is sure to be one of the most exciting teams in all of college baseball this season. The fans will be there every step of the way, cheering on their team as they strive for greatness.
