Game recaps
The Union College Baseball Team is off to a great start this season! Here are some highlights from recent games:
-In a thrilling come-from-behind victory, the Dutchmen overcame a 5-run deficit to beat RPI 6-5. Union was down 5-0 after the top of the seventh, but rallied for three runs in the bottom of the inning. In the eighth, Union tied the game with two more runs, and then won it in the ninth with a walk-off RBI single by senior catcher Matt Murphy.
-In another exciting game, Union came from behind again to defeat Hamilton 9-8. The Dutchmen trailed 8-7 in the bottom of the ninth, but junior third baseman Ryan Orr hit a two-run homer to give Union the win.
Keep up the good work, Dutchmen! We’ll be rooting for you all season!

Sean O’Hara: Sean is a senior captain and pitcher on the Union College baseball team He is from Albany, New York and is majoring in business administration. Sean is a hard-worker on and off the field, and he is committed to helping his team win games.
Tyler Murphy: Tyler is a junior pitcher on the Union College Baseball Team He is from Boston, Massachusetts and is majoring in physics. Tyler is a talented player who works hard to improve his craft. He is an important part of the Union college baseball team’s pitching staff.
Willie Lawrence: Willie is a sophomore outfielder on the Union College Baseball team He is from Bronx, New York and is majoring in sociology. Willie is a gifted athlete who brings energy and enthusiasm to the team. He is an important part of the Union college baseball team’s offense.
Union college baseball history
Union College has a long and storied history in baseball, dating back to the early days of the sport. The Dutchmen have been a perennial powerhouse in the collegiate ranks, winning numerous conference and national titles. Union is also one of the founding members of the Liberty League one of the premier Division III baseball conferences in the country.

The Union College Baseball facilities are located on the north side of campus, just east of the main athletic complex. The facility includes a full-size baseball field two batting cages, a Pitching Machine and a weight room. The Union College baseball team plays its home games at the Baseball Field

Union College has a long and proud tradition of baseball, dating back to the 19th century. Today, Union College is one of the top college baseball programs in the country. The team has produced many Major League Baseball players, including David Wright who is currently the captain of the New York Mets
The future of Union College baseball is bright. The team has a new Head coach Tim Magee, who is excited to continue the team’s winning tradition The team also has a new stadium, which was built in 2019.
