The Vandalia Butler Baseball team has come a long way in a short amount of time.
Just four years ago, the program was in shambles. The team was winless, the facilities were inadequate, and morale was low.
Butler hired JeffLupton as its Head coach prior to the 2016 season, and he has quickly turned the program around. The team has improved its win total each year under Lupton, culminating in a 19-5 record and a trip to the Division II state semifinals this past season.
The team’s success on the field is starting to translate to more interest from prospective players. The program has already had two players commit to Division I schools for the 2020 season, and more are expected to follow suit in the coming years.
