Under the leadership of Head Coach Danny Manning, the Deacons have made it to the NCAA Tournament five times in the last six years – a feat that Wake Forest had only accomplished four times in its entire history prior to Manning’s arrival.

In the 2017-2018 season the Wake Forest men’s basketball team was unranked for the majority of the season. However, they did receive 1 vote in the AP poll on January 8, 2018. This was the only week they were ranked that season.

Wake Forest’s basketball team has been to the NCAA tournament 20 times. The Demon Deacons have a record of 32-20 in the tournament. They have been to the Sweet Sixteen six times and the Elite Eight four times. Wake has never made it to the Final Four.

With a student population of just over 7,000, Wake Forest is one of the smallest schools in the ACC. That doesn’t stop students from packing the Joel Coliseum whenever the Demon Deacons take the court. The students section, nicknamed “The Buzz Crew,” is known for being rowdy and creative in their cheers and taunts of opposing players.

In conclusion, the Wake Forest Basketball team is a very good team. They have a lot of talent and are able to compete with the best teams in the country. I believe that they have what it takes to make a run in the NCAA tournament and I would be shocked if they didn’t at least make it to the Sweet Sixteen
