The Wayzata Trojans are headed to the state championships! After an amazing season, the team has proven their skills on the diamond and are now poised to take on the best teams in Minnesota.

This will be the first time in Wayzata history that the baseball team has made it to the state championships so the whole community is behind them. The Trojans have worked hard all season and they are ready to take on anyone who stands in their way.

The State Championships will be a tough competition, but Wayzata is confident that they can come out on top. With talent and determination, the Trojans are ready to make their mark on Minnesota baseball history

The Coaches Who Led the Way

This year, the Wayzata baseball team made it to the state championships! It was a hard-fought battle, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing coaches. Here are the coaches who led the way:

Coach Jim Johnson:
Coach Johnson has been with the team for three years, and his experience and expertise were invaluable in guiding the team to victory. He is a demanding but fair coach, and his players respect him greatly. Thanks, Coach Johnson!

Coach Sarah Peterson:
Coach Peterson is in her first year with the team, but she quickly proved herself to be a valuable asset. She has a great eye for talent and was able to help recruits hone their skills. We are so lucky to have her on our team! Thank you, Coach Peterson!

Coach Mike Thomas:
Coach Thomas has been with the team for four years, and his leadership was instrumental in our success. He is a motivator and a strategist, and he always knows just what to say to get his players pumped up for a game. Thank you, Coach Thomas!

The Game That Got Us Here

Wayzata Baseball is headed to the state championships! This is an amazing accomplishment for our team, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our fans. But, more importantly, we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and dedication of our players. Let’s take a look back at the game that got us here.

On May 14th, Wayzata played Minnetonka in the sectional Championship game The game was close throughout, with neither team able to gain a significant lead. Wayzata was down by one run in the bottom of the seventh inning but they fought back and tied the game. In the bottom of the ninth inning with the bases loaded and two outs, Wayzata’s cleanup hitter delivered a walk-off RBI to win the game!

This was an incredible victory for our team, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the resilience of our players. They never gave up, even when they were down, and they fought hard until the very end. We’re so proud of them and we can’t wait to see what they can do in the state tournament!

The Semifinal Game

The final game was a close one, with the score tied in the ninth inning. The game went into Extra Innings and Wayzata ended up winning by a score of 5-4. This victory advanced them to the State Championships where they will face off against Eden Prairie

What’s Next for Wayzata Baseball

Now that Wayzata baseball has qualified for the state championships the team is preparing for what comes next. The team will face off against Eden Prairie in the first round of the state championships on Thursday, June 13th. Wayzata is currently ranked 4th in the state, while Eden Prairie is ranked 2nd. This will be a tough game for the Trojans, but they are up for the challenge. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
