The league was founded in 2013 with the goal of providing quality baseball instruction and competition to players aged 18 and up.

The West Linn Baseball League
The West Linn baseball league is a Baseball League that was created for the purpose of providing an outlet for the talents of young men in the area. The league is made up of teams from all over the west side of town, and is open to all players who are residents of West Linn. The league is divided into two divisions, the American League and the National League The American League is made up of teams from Cottage Grove Lake Oswego, Tigard, and Tualatin. The National League is made up of teams from Beaverton, Clackamas, Gladstone, and Oregon City.
The Players
In order to be a part of the West Linn baseball league players must meet a few requirements. First and foremost, players must be residents of West Linn or adjacent neighborhoods. Secondly, all players must be enrolled in school as either full-time or home-school students. Lastly, tryouts are held every year in order to ensure that the talent level is high and that everyone has a chance to compete for a spot on the team.
There are three different teams in the West Linn Baseball League the varsity team the Junior varsity team, and the Freshman/Sophomore team. The varsity team is made up of High School students who have either just completed their junior year or are about to start their senior year. The junior varsity team is made up of students who have just completed freshman year or are about to start sophomore year. Lastly, the Freshman/Sophomore team is made up entirely of freshman with a few sophomores sprinkled in.
Players who are cut from either Varsity or Junior Varsity try-outs have the option of playing on one of the many community teams that West Linn has to offer. These include but are not limited to: Babe Ruth Little League, and various travel ball teams.
The Parents
West Linn baseball is a travel baseball team based in West Linn, Oregon. The team is made up of 12-year-olds and their families. The team’s goal is to win the Little League World Series
The team is coached by Steve George, who has been coaching youth baseball for over 20 years. His son, Dylan, plays on the team.
The team’s parents are supportive of their children’s endeavors, but they are also realistic about the chances of winning the Little League World Series They understand that the competition is stiff and that there are no guarantees.
However, they believe in their children and know that they will give it their all on the field. They are proud of their accomplishments and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a special team.
The Coaches
West Linn Baseball is coached by former MLB players and managers. The team’s hitting coach is former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter and the pitching coach is former Boston Red Sox All-Star pitcher Curt Schilling
The Fans

The Rivalries
