Wright State University has a new basketball coach! Gary Grant will be taking over the program, and he has a lot of experience to bring to the table. Grant has coached at the collegiate and professional levels, and he’s excited to get started with the Raiders.

What to Expect from Wright State’s New Basketball Coach
Wright State University’s new basketball coach Scott Nagy, comes to the Raiders with a wealth of experience and success.
Nagy spent the last 23 seasons as the Head Coach of South Dakota State University, where he compiled a524-359 (.593) overall record and took the Jackrabbits to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship four times (2009, 2012, 2016, 2017). His teams also won eight regular-season conference championships and five conference tournament titles.
Nagy takes over a Wright State program that has struggled in recent years but he is confident that he can turn things around.
“We’re going to do things the right way,” Nagy said. “We’re going to put a product on the court that our community and our university can be proud of.”
Here are some things you can expect from Nagy and the Raiders:
1. A commitment to excellence. Nagy has a proven track record of success at the Division I level, and he expects his players to work hard and compete for championships.
2. An emphasis on player development Nagy is known for his ability to develop players and help them reach their full potential. He has produced numerous NBA players including San Antonio Spurs star Joel Embiid
3. An up-tempo style of play. The Raiders will look to push the pace of play under Nagy’s leadership, which should result in an exciting brand of basketball for fans to enjoy.
4. A focus on recruiting local talent. While Nagy will recruit nationally he plans to build the Raiders’ roster with players from the Dayton area first and foremost. He wants his team to be a source of pride for the community.

Wright State’s New Basketball Coach’s Coaching Philosophy
Wright State University’s new basketball coach Mike Schrage, has a very straightforward coaching philosophy: “toughness, togetherness, and unselfishness.”
In an interview with the Dayton Daily News, Schrage said that he wants his team to be tough on the court and to never give up. He also stressed the importance of being united as a team and putting the team’s success above individual accomplishments. Lastly, he said that he wants his players to be unselfish and to always look for ways to make their teammates better.
This philosophy has helped Coach Schrage lead his teams to success in the past, and he is confident that it will help the Wright State Raiders find success in the future.
Wright State’s New Basketball Coach’s Playing Style
Wright State’s new basketball coach Scott Nagy, is known for his ability to develop players and his team-first approach.
Nagy comes to Wright State from South Dakota State where he spent the last six seasons as head coach Prior to South Dakota State Nagy was an Assistant Coach at the University of Wyoming for four seasons.
Nagy has a reputation for being able to develop players and getting the most out of his teams. His teams are known for their unselfish play and their ability to share the ball. Nagy is also known for his defensive coaching philosophy which helped South Dakota State rank in the top half of the nation in defensive efficiency in four of his six seasons as Head Coach

Wright State’s new basketball coach Scott Nagy, has made some changes to the team’s recruiting strategy. In the past, the team has focused on recruiting players from the Midwest. However, Nagy believes that the team can be more successful if they recruit players from all over the country.
Nagy has already had success with this new strategy. In his first year as coach, he was able to recruit players from all over the United States The team had a successful season and made it to the NCAA tournament

Wright State’s new basketball coach Scott Nagy, has a gameplan for turning the team around.
“We’re going to play a lot harder,” Nagy said. “We’re going to play with a lot more energy and effort, and we’re going to get after it on the defensive end of the floor.”
Nagy said he wants his team to be tough and physical, and they will need to be able to rebound the ball well.
“We’re not going to be real tall, so we’re going to have to box out and use our quickness,” Nagy said. “Offensively, we’re going to spread the floor and try to put pressure on the defense with our speed.”
The Raiders will also need to shoot the ball well from three-point range

Wright State has a new Basketball Coach and his staff is already hard at work. The team’s new Head coach is Chris Jans who comes to Wright State from Bowling Green State University Jans will be joined by assistant coaches Darryl Blair and Derrick Byrd.

Chris Jans is Wright State’s new head basketball coach He inherited a team with a lot of potential and is trying to turn them into a winning program. One of the first things he did was upgrade the team’s facilities.
The new facilities include a weight room, locker room and training room that are all state-of-the-art. The weight room has all new equipment, and the locker room has been completely renovated. The training room has also been updated with new rehab equipment.
These upgrades will help the team train harder and recover from injuries faster. They will also be able to attract higher quality recruits. Coach Jans is committed to giving his players everything they need to be successful on and off the court.
