The 19992000 Uconn Huskies men’s basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 19992000 NCAA Division I men’s Basketball Season The Huskies completed the season with a perfect 270 record. The Huskies were the first team to finish a Regular Season undefeated since the Indiana Hoosiers did it in 1976. They were also only the second team ever to do it in an NCAA Division I Basketball season as well as only the third team ever to do it at any level of NCAA Basketball (the 197172 UCLA Bruins finished 300 in Division I and the 1972 Milan High School boys’ basketball team finished 320 in Indiana’s highest school division).

The 1999 Uconn Huskies men’s Basketball Team represented the University of Connecticut in the 1999 NCAA Division I men’s Basketball season They were coached by Jim Calhoun and played their home games at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Huskies finished the season 322, winning the Big East regular season championship for the second consecutive year. They also won the Big East Tournament defeating Syracuse in the Championship game As a result, they received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they were given a number one seed in the Midwest Region. In the tournament, they defeated Fairleigh Dickinson Kentucky, Utah, and Ohio State to advance to their first ever Final Four. There they defeated Michigan State to reach their first NCAA Championship game where they lost to Duke 7774 in overtime.
