10. What’s Next for the Mississippi State Bulldogs?
The Mississippi State Bulldogs Basketball team is coming off a disappointing loss in the NCAA Tournament but there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future. The team is returning all five starters from last year, including leading scorer Quinndary Weatherspoon. Sophomore guard Nick Weatherspoon, who missed much of last season with an injury, is also expected to be back at full strength. With a core of experienced players in place, the Bulldogs should be one of the top teams in the SEC next season.
In addition to its returning starters, Mississippi State will also have a talented group of newcomers joining the team. Freshman point guard D’Marcus Simonds was one of the top recruits in the nation, and he should make an immediate impact. Forward Abdul Ado and guard Tyson Carter are also talented players who should see significant playing time With a mix of experience and talent, the Bulldogs have everything they need to make a run at an SEC title next season.
