The game
The 2011 NBA All Star Game was held on February 20, 2011 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. The game featured a total of 36 All Stars from around the NBA, and was televised on TNT. The game itself was largely uneventful, with the Eastern Conference All Stars defeating the Western Conference All Stars 148-143. Lebron James of the Miami Heat was named MVP.
The players
The starters for the game were Dwight Howard Kobe Bryant Lebron James Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul The reserves for the Eastern Conference were Derrick Rose Dwyane Wade Amar’e Stoudemire, Al Horford, Joakim Noah, Paul Pierce and Luol Deng. The reserves for the Western Conference were Blake Griffin Kevin Durant LaMarcus Aldridge, Dirk Nowitzki , Andrew Bynum , Marc Gasol , Tim Duncan .
The coaches
The two head coaches for the 2011 NBA All Star Game are Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs and Doc Rivers of the Boston Celtics These two great coaches will be leading their respective teams in what promises to be a spectacular game.
The fans
The fans are the people who come to watch the game and support their team. They are the ones who boo when a player makes a mistake, and they are the ones who cheer when a player makes a great play. They are also the ones who vote for the All Star starters.
The city
The city of Los Angeles was announced as the host city of the 2011 NBA All-Star game on February 18, 2010. This will be the second time that Los Angeles has hosted the game, with the first being in 1972. The game will be held at Staples Center on February 20, 2011.

Hyundai’s “Sonata Swap” featured a unsuspecting father being given the keys to a brand new Sonata by his son, only to find out that he has been “swapped” into the role of referee for the game. The commercial ended with the father making a controversial call that went against his son’s team.
In Coke Zero’s “Taste It,” two actors played rivals trying to one-up each other in a series of challenges, only to find out that they were actually both taste-testers for Coke Zero. The commercial ends with the two rivals realizing that they actually have a lot in common.
Pepsi’s “Refreshing Returns” featured former NBA players playing a game of H-O-R-S-E, with the winner getting a can of Pepsi. The commercial ended with all of the players getting cans of Pepsi, regardless of who won.
The after-party
The 2011 NBA All Star Game was held in Los Angeles California on February 20, 2011, at Staples Center The game was won by the Western Conference All-Stars, 148-143. Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers was named the Most Valuable Player of the game.
After the game, many of the players and celebrities in attendance went to an after-party at a nightclub called Avalon Hollywood. The party was hosted by Lebron James and Dwyane Wade Some of the other guests included Chris Paul Carmelo Anthony Amar’e Stoudemire, Blake Griffin Kevin Durant Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber.
The ratings
The game had a 2.5 rating on TNT, which was up 8% from last year’s game. The game was the most-watched All-Star Game since 2005, when the game also had a 2.5 rating.
The legacy
The NBA All-Star Game is a yearly event that pits the best players from the Eastern and Western Conferences against each other. It is one of the most watched basketball games of the year and is a highly anticipated event for fans of the sport.
