Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named NBA Rookie of the Year after being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft Irving played college basketball for Duke University before joining the Cavaliers in 2011.
In his second season, Irving was awarded All-Star MVP honors after leading the Eastern Conference to a 163-158 victory over the Western Conference in the 2012 NBA All-Star game becoming the youngest player to ever receive this honor. He was also selected to play in that year’s Olympics as a member of Team USA
After lasting just eleven games into his third season due to injury, Irving went on to average 20.8 points per game and 5.4 assists per game over 59 games played during the 2013-14 season, en route to his first All-Star selection. The following year, he averaged 21.7 points and 5.2 assists per game as he helped lead the Cavaliers to their second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals where they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games.
In 2015-16, Irving made his third consecutive All-Star appearance and earned his first All-NBA selection as he helped lead Cleveland back to the NBA Finals where they avenged their loss from last year and defeated the Warriors in seven games; Irving averaged 25.2 points per game throughout those playoffs and hit what would become known as “The Shot” in Game 7 to seal Cleveland’s victory. After asking to be traded away from Cleveland in 2017 due to dissatisfaction with his role on the team, Irving was dealt to Boston, where he would go on to make two more trips to the Finals, winning one more championship in 2018 before suffering a season-ending injury in 2019.

He is a nine-Ime Nba All-Star, and an eight-time All-NBA team member. He is also the 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player and has led the league in scoring three times. Westbrook was selected fourth overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2008 NBA Draft and then traded to Oklahoma City on draft night for Jeff Green and Nenê Hilario.
