When and where are the games?
The Lipscomb Bisons will take the court for their first game of the season on Tuesday, November 5th at 7:00 pm. They will be facing off against in-state rivals Middle Tennessee State at Allen Arena. This will be the first of three games in a row that the Bisons will play at home. The following Saturday, November 9th, they will take on Southern Miss at 4:00 pm and thenagain on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 pm against Mississippi Valley State
Who are the opponents?
The first section of the Lipscomb Basketball Schedule is a who’s who of college basketball royalty. The Bisons will take on Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina and UCLA in the month of November alone.
What is the conference schedule?
The Conference Schedule is made up of 18 games- nine home and nine away. The conference opponents include Belmont, Kennesaw State Northern Kentucky, Stetson, Liberty, Florida Gulf Coast Jacksonville, North Florida and Lipscomb. The conference schedule begins on Thursday, January 2 nd when the Bisons travel to Fort Myers to take on Florida Gulf Coast The home opener is on Saturday, January 4 th when Liberty comes to town.
The final game of the regular season is on Saturday, March 7 th when the Bison host North Florida
How can I watch the games?
Most of Lipscomb’s home games will be carried live on ESPN+. Away games will be carried live on numerous different platforms including, but not limited to, the Lipscomb Sports Network (LSN), ASun.TV, and FloHoops. Some conference tournaments and NCAA tournament games will also be carried on these platforms.
Is there a student section?
At Lipscomb University home basketball games are always packed with fans eager to see their Bisons take the court. One popular question we get is: “Is there a student section?”
The answer is yes! There is a designated student section at Lipscomb basketball games and it’s always a lively place to be. Student tickets are free with a valid Lipscomb ID, so be sure to bring your ID to the game.
If you’re looking for a great way to show your School Spirit and support your team, come out to a game and sit in the student section. You’re sure to have a great time!
How do I get tickets?
Individual Game tickets for all Lipscomb men’s and women’s home games go on sale October 1 at 10 a.m. at the Allen Arena box office or online at lipscombsports.com/tickets. The box office, located on the south end of Allen Arena near the main entrance, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at 615-966-HERD (4373).
Who are the coaches?
When you think of Lipscomb University what comes to mind? If you’re like most people, you probably think of the school’s stellar academics and Christian values. But did you know that Lipscomb is also home to a Division I Basketball team? That’s right – the Bisons have been competing at the highest level of collegiate basketball since 2001.
And they’ve been doing quite well, too. In fact, under the leadership of Head Coach Casey Alexander, the team has won three conference championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Not bad for a school that didn’t even have a basketball team 20 years ago!
But if you’re new to the world of Lipscomb basketball, you might be wondering – who are the coaches? Well, here’s what you need to know.
Casey Alexander is in his eighth season as head coach of the Bisons. He’s a Nashville native and a Lipscomb alumnus, so he bleeds Purple and Gold. Prior to taking over as Head Coach he served as an Assistant Coach under legendary Head coach Don Meyer.
Coach Alexander is joined by assistant coaches Lavonte Dority and Brendan Fahey. Dority is a former NBA player who has been with the team since 2017. Fahey, meanwhile, is in his first season with the Bisons after spending four years as an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University

Some Key Players for the 2017=2018 season include Sophomore forward Rob Marberry, who was recently named to the ASUN preseason all conference team, and junior guard Garret Covington, who was also named to the ASUN preseason all conference team as well as the ASUN preseason first team all defense
