The Muhlenberg men’s basketball team enters the 2019-20 season with high hopes. The team is coming off a banner year in which they won the Centennial conference championship and made it to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight. This year’s squad is expected to be just as good, if not better. Here are four must-see games on the Muhlenberg Basketball Schedule this season.

November 15 vs. Moravian: This is always one of the most anticipated games of the season. These two teams are located just a few miles from each other and have been rivals for over a hundred years. The game is always a sellout and there is always a lot of excitement in the air.

December 31 vs. Gettysburg: Another heated local rivalry. These two teams also have a long history and there is always a lot on the line when they meet. This game is usually played at one of the neutral sites in the area and it is always packed with fans from both sides.

January 18 vs. Franklin & Marshall: This is one of Muhlenberg’s biggest games of the season, as they take on their biggest rival in the conference. The Diplomats are always a tough team and this game always has playoff implications.

February 8 vs. Johns Hopkins One of the newest rivalries in Division III basketball, this game has become one of the most anticipated on Muhlenberg’s schedule. The Blue Jays are one of the best teams in Division III and this game will be a good test for the Mules as they head into the stretch run of their season.

The Muhlenberg men’s Basketball team will tip off its season on Tuesday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. against DeSales in Memorial Hall. The game will be the first of 16 home contests for the Mules, who are coming off a 20-8 campaign that ended with a loss to eventual NCAA Division III champion Moravian in the Centennial Conference semifinals.

The Muhlenberg College men’s basketball team will take on Ursinus College in game 2 of their season on Saturday, November 16th at 7:00 PM in the709 Arena. This will be the first time these two teams have faced each other since 2017, when Ursinus won 75-74. Muhlenberg is coming off a 78-69 win against Moravian in their season opener while Ursinus lost to Swarthmore 92-84.

The third game of the season is a home match-up against Moravian College This will be the first time the two teams have met since last year’s thrilling overtime victory by Muhlenberg. Moravian will be looking to take revenge on their home court but Muhlenberg is confident they can get the win.

Muhlenberg Basketball Schedule Game 7

The Muhlenberg men’s basketball team will host Moravian on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 8:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall. The game, which was originally scheduled for Jan. 17, was postponed due to the winter storm.

The Mules are coming off a Big Win against rival Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Jan. 19. The win gave Muhlenberg a share of first place in the Centennial Conference Standings and was the team’s fourth straight victory.

Moravian, meanwhile, is coming off a loss to Gettysburg in its last game. The Greyhounds are 4-3 in the conference and 12-6 overall.

This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams since Muhlenberg joined the Centennial Conference prior to the 2013-14 season. The Mules are 3-3 against Moravian in that span, including a 1-2 record at Memorial Hall.
