Wisconsin vs. Michigan State
No. 12 Wisconsin looks to add another quality win to its NCAA tournament résumé when it travels to No. 10 Michigan State on Sunday. The Badgers (18-8, 10-6 Big Ten) are coming off a buzzer-beating victory over then-No. 3 Michigan on Thursday, while the Spartans (19-7, 10-6) lost at Purdue despite a 29-point performance from Cassius Winston.
Winston will likely need another big game if Michigan State is going to come out on top in this one — he’s averaging 20.0 points and 7.5 assists per game and the Spartans are just 4-5 when he doesn’t reach those marks. He’ll be up against a Wisconsin team that ranks second in the nation in defensive efficiency per KenPom, and is allowing just 60.4 points per game
The Badgers have been relying heavily on their defense all season long — they rank 344th in the country in offensive efficiency — but they did get a boost from junior guard D’Mitrik Trice in their last outing. Trice scored a career-high 28 points against Michigan and hit the game-winning shot with 0.5 seconds remaining. He’s averaging 13.9 points per game on the season but will need to be even better if Wisconsin is going to pick up another key road win against a ranked opponent
Gonzaga vs. Saint Mary’s
