The Sagehens men’s basketball team dates back to 1907, when it was first established as a varsity sport at Pomona College. The team has a long and storied history, with many successful seasons and appearances in the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament In recent years the team has been especially successful, winning the SCIAC regular season title in 2016 and 2018, and making it to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament in 2017.
