The Alabama Baseball Schedule is Here!
The Alabama baseball team will open its 2021 season at home against the VMI Keydets on Feb. 19, it was announced on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide will play a total of 56 games in the 2021 season, including 27 at home, 13 on the road and 16 at neutral sites.
The Crimson Tide’s 2020 Season
The University of Alabama’s 2020 baseball schedule was released on Wednesday morning, with the Crimson Tide slated to face ten teams that made the 2019 NCAA tournament
The season will begin on February 14th with a three-game series against Indiana State and will end with the SEC tournament in Hoover, AL from May 19-24. Alabama will also face off against in-state rivals Auburn, Samford, and UAB, as well as out of state foes such as Oklahoma State Florida State and Virginia Tech
With a challenging non-Conference Schedule and some tough SEC opponents on the docket, Head Coach Brad Bohannon and the Crimson Tide will have their work cut out for them in 2020. But with a young but experienced team that made considerable strides last season, Alabama Baseball looks primed for another successful campaign.

The 2020 Alabama Baseball Schedule is here! The Crimson Tide will open the season against Maryland on February 14th. Other opponents include:
-Vanderbilt
-Ole Miss
-Georgia
-Arkansas
-Auburn

The 2020 Sec Baseball Tournament
The 2020 SEC Baseball Tournament will be held from May 19-24 at the Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama. The tournament will feature all 14 SEC teams. The top four seeds will receive a first-round bye. The tournament champion will earn the SEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament
The 2020 NCAA Baseball Tournament
The 2020 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament will be held from June 3 to June 30, 2020. The 64-team, double-elimination tournament will culminate with the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
The tournament will began on Friday, June 3, with the top sixteen seeds hosting four-team regionals. The assets of the sixteen host sites were announced on May 28, 2019. Thewinning teams from each regional site will advance to one of eight best-of-three Super Regionals which will be played from June 11–14 on the campus sites of the higher seeds. The eight winners of those series will advance to Omaha for the College World Series
As has been the case since 1950, College World Series itself will be a double-elimination tournament with two four-team brackets; however, unlike in past years where each bracket consisted of teams that played each other in round one and then crossed over for round two, under the new format enacted for 2019 the brackets are now static and setprior to play starting. Each team that loses its first game plays an elimination game against a team from the opposite bracket; however, unlike previous years where if a team won that game it would then play another elimination game against a team it had not yet faced (thus guaranteeing that it would play three different teams during CWS play), under this new format if a team wins its first elimination game it moves on to play a second elimination game against a team it has already faced earlier in CWS play (thus guaranteeing that it would play only two different teams during CWS play). This new format reduces overall travel and should also reduce potential weather delays. If any rainouts occur prior to the CWS semifinals (thus creating a need for teams to potentially play as many as six games in five days), those games will be made up by playing one doubleheader per day starting on Tuesday; no off days are scheduled during this contingency period so as not to give any particular team an advantage or disadvantage over another team.
The 2020 College World Series
The wait is finally over! The 2020 college baseball season is set to begin on February 14th, and the Alabama Crimson Tide will be looking to defend their National Championship The 2020 season will culminate with the College World Series which is set to take place from June 15th-28th at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska.
The 2020 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2020 Major League Baseball Draft will be the first in history in which no players are selected from college baseball programs. The new three-round format is a result of the COVID-19 pandemic negating the 2020 college baseball season
In total, 160 prospects will be selected in the 2020 MLB Draft The draft order was determined by a reverse order of the standings from the 2019 season. The Cincinnati Reds will have the first overall pick, followed by the Detroit Tigers Baltimore Orioles and Miami Marlins
The first round of the 2020 MLB draft will take place on Wednesday, June 10th at 7:00 PM ET. The second and third rounds will take place on Thursday, June 11th beginning at 5:00 PM ET.
