The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has released their latest rankings and there are some big movers and shakers!
The NCBWA has released their college baseball rankings for the week of February 17th.
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has released their college baseball rankings for the week of February 17th. This is the first set of rankings for the 2020 season, which was supposed to start last week but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NCBWA ranks the top 25 teams in NCAA Division I baseball each week during the regular season Florida, LSU, Stanford, UCLA, and Vanderbilt occupied the top five spots in the preseason poll, with Florida receiving 14 of a possible 30 first-place votes. The full rankings can be found below.

The NCBWA Baseball Rankings are in and Florida remains atop the poll, while Texas A&M and Louisville both move up into the top-5. The top-25 teams in the nation are listed below, with first-place votes in parentheses.
UCLA and Mississippi State both drop out of the top-25 after losing series this past weekend.
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its new top-25 poll today and there were some notable changes. After losing their respective series this past weekend, both UCLA and Mississippi State have dropped out of the poll. In their place, Florida State and Indiana enter the rankings at #24 and #25 respectively.
At the top of the poll, there was little movement as Vanderbilt remains in the top spot after winning their series against South Carolina Louisville, who was idle this past weekend, stays in second place while Florida moves up one spot to third. Rounding out the top-5 is Texas Tech and Stanford, who both won their series to remain in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Vanderbilt, Oregon State and TCU all move up into the top-10 after successful weekends.
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its weekly college baseball rankings on Monday morning and there was plenty of movement in the top-10. Vanderbilt, Oregon State and TCU all moved up after successful weekends while Florida State Louisville, and Clemson all fell a spot. Here is the full top-25:

Florida State Stanford, and Southern Miss all make big jumps into the top-25 this week.
In the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division I Baseball poll, Florida State made the biggest move into the top-25, climbing eight spots to No. 17. The Seminoles went 4-0 last week with a series win over Virginia Tech and a midweek victory over USF. Stanford also made a big move in this week’s poll, rising six spots to No. 20 after going 4-0 last week with series wins over Oregon and USC. Rounding out the top-25, Southern Miss jumped five spots to No. 25 after winning its series against Charlotte.
Arkansas, Miami (FL), and Clemson all fall out of the rankings after losing series this past weekend.
#1 Florida Gators (22-3, 8-1 SEC): The Gators continue to roll, winning all seven games this past week. They swept a mid-week series against Florida Atlantic before taking two of three on the road against Mississippi State The Gators are now 8-1 in SEC play and have a two-game lead over Auburn in the SEC East standings
#2 Stanford Cardinal (20-4, 6-1 Pac-12): Stanford picked up a big road series win this past weekend, taking two of three at Oregon State The Cardinal got excellent pitching performances in all three games, allowing just six total runs in the series. Stanford is now 6-1 in conference play and is tied with UCLA for first place in the Pac-12 standings.
#3 Vanderbilt Commodores (21-3, 8-0 SEC): Vanderbilt continues to dominate the SEC, winning all seven games this past week. They swept a mid-week series against Lipscomb before taking two of three on the road at Kentucky. Vanderbilt is now 8-0 in conference play and has a four game lead over Alabama in the SEC West standings.
#4 Texas Tech Red Raiders (21-4, 4-2 Big 12): Texas Tech drops one spot after losing their mid-week game against New Mexico State and then splitting their weekend series with TCU. The Red Raiders won the opener on Friday Night behind a strong start from freshman pitcher Dylan Dusek but then lost Saturday and Sunday to drop the series. Texas Tech is now 4
Maryland, Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic all enter the rankings this week.
Last week’s National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division I Baseball Rankings are in, and there are some new faces at the top! Maryland, Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic all enter the rankings this week, coming in at #24, #25, and #26 respectively. This is the first time all three of these teams have been ranked in the NCBWA poll.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has announced its preseason Top 25 rankings for the 2020 college baseball season The Florida Gators are slotted in at No. 1, receiving all 16 first-place votes.
The NCBWA Board of Directors selects the preseason poll and ranks the top 30 teams in Division I, with voting based on won-loss records, last year’s final polls, coaches’ opinions and various other factors.
In 2019, Florida posted a 50-20 record and was ranked as high as No. 2 in the major polls. The Gators return 18 lettermen from last year’s squad, including eight position starters and six pitchers.
Defending National Champion Vanderbilt is ranked second in the poll, followed by Texas Tech UCLA and Arizona State Rounding out the top 10 are Oklahoma State Georgia, Louisville, Mississippi State and Auburn.
The 2020 season begins on February 14th with 19 ranked teams in action.
2. Texas A&M
Texas A&M comes in at No. 2 in the nation in the latest baseball Rankings by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
The Aggies move up one spot from last week after taking two of three against conference-rival Arkansas. Texas A&M is now 34-11 on the season and 15-7 in SEC play.
The top five teams in the rankings remain unchanged with Florida, LSU, Stanford and Vanderbilt rounding out the top five.
Texas A&M will return to action this weekend when they travel to Auburn for a three-game series
3. Louisville
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released their 2019 Preseason Top 25 poll Tuesday morning, with the Louisville Cardinals coming in at #3.
4. South Carolina
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced their 2016 Division I Baseball Rankings with the South Carolina Gamecocks checking in at fourth in the nation.
The Gamecocks are coming off of a season in which they went 48-16 overall and 20-4 in SEC play, en route to winning both the SEC regular season and tournament titles. They would eventually fall to ACC foe Florida State in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
Just behind South Carolina in the rankings are last year’s College World Series runner-up Vanderbilt, who come in at fifth. The Commodores are followed by Florida, Louisville, TCU and Miami (FL), rounding out the top ten

With a No. 5 ranking in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) preseason poll, the Oregon State baseball team is set to make some noise in the upcoming season
Led by returning All-American infielder Cadyn Grenier, the Beavers are coming off a strong 2018 campaign in which they went 49-10-1 and made it all the way to the College World Series
Looking to build on that success, Oregon State will open up its 2019 season at home against UC Santa Barbara on February 15.
