Introducing the 2020 Ust Baseball team

The 2020 Ust baseball team is loaded with talent. The roster includes some of the best young players in the country. Here are a few of the standout players:

Catcher: Joey Votto is one of the best catchers in baseball. He has a great arm and is very accurate. He also has a good bat and can hit for power.

First baseman: Ryan Howard is a big, strong first baseman who hits for a lot of power. He has a good glove and is a solid defender.

Second baseman: Dee Gordon is an excellent second baseman. He has great speed and steals a lot of bases. He is also a good hitter and gets on base a lot.

Third baseman: Alex Rodriguez is one of the best third basemen in baseball He hits for a lot of power and is also a great fielder.

Shortstop: Troy Tulowitzki is an excellent shortstop. He has great range and makes all the routine plays. He also has a good bat and can hit for power.

Outfielders: Mike Trout is one of the best fielders in baseball He hits for average and power, and he also steals a lot of bases. Bryce Harper is another great outfielder who hits for average and power. He is also a good defender.

Meet the 2020 Ust baseball coaching staff

We are pleased to announce the 2020 Ust Baseball coaching staff. Manager Joe Girardi will be joined by bench coach Josh Bard, first base coach Tony Pena third base coach Phil Nevin, and hitting coach Luis Silverio.

Girardi, a former catcher, played for the Chicago Cubs Colorado Rockies New York Yankees and Houston Astros He also managed the Yankees from 2008 to 2017.

Bard, a former catcher, played for the Cleveland Indians Colorado Rockies San Diego Padres Texas Rangers Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates

Pena played for the St. Louis Cardinals New York Mets Boston Red Sox Houston Astros Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers He also managed the Kansas City Royals from 2002 to 2005.

Nevin played for the Houston Astros San Diego Padres Detroit Tigers Arizona Diamondbacks, Texas Rangers before retiring in 2006.

Silverio is in his first season as hitting coach after serving as a roving hitting instructor in 2019.

Ust baseball 2020 season schedule

The University of St. Thomas will open its 2020 baseball season with a four-game home stand at UST baseball field The Tommies will play St. Scholastica in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 29, and a single game on Sunday, March 1. All three games will start at 1 p.m.

UST will play its first eight games of the season at home re Playing its first road game of the season at Concordia on Friday, March 13. The Tommies will play 25 of their 38 regular-season games at home this season.

The UST baseball team is gearing up for their 2020 season with high hopes. After a strong 2019 season, the team is looking to take things to the next level this year. Here are some of the highlights of the upcoming season

The team will be led by senior captain Alex Rodriguez Rodriguez is a four-year starter who has been a key player for the team both offensively and defensively. He is joined by fellow seniors Luis Cruz and Vincente Maldonado, who have also been key contributors throughout their time with the team.

On the pitching side, the team will be led by junior ace Jose Reyes. Reyes was a key player on the team last year, posting a 6-1 record with a 2.48 ERA. He will be joined by senior Javi Martinez and junior Hector Gomez, who both had strong seasons last year.

The team will also feature several new faces in key positions. Freshman outfielder/infielder Diego Lopez is expected to make an immediate impact on the team. Additionally, transfer student Eddie Diaz will be looking to make an impact on the pitching staff.

With a mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers, the UST baseball team is poised for another successful season in 2020!

Ust baseball 2020 season stats

The University of St. Thomas (UST) Tommies Baseball Team will open its 2020 season on February 14 against Concordia Moorhead The Tommies finished the 2019 season with a 26-14 overall record and a 13-5 mark in the Minnesota collegiate athletic conference (MIAC), good for second place.

The 2020 squad features 27 returning letterwinners, including seven Position players and six pitchers who saw significant action last season. The Tommies will also welcome 20 newcomers to the roster.

Leading the way for the Tommies will be senior pitcher Nate Wehner (Lakeville, Minn.), who was named a Preseason All-American by D3baseball.com. Wehner posted a 5-2 record with a 1.98 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched last season. He was also named First Team All-MIAC and earned MIAC Pitcher of the Year honors.

Senior catcher Max Delivery (Shoreview, Minn.) is also back after being named First Team All-MIAC last season. Delivery hit .368 with seven home runs and 34 RBIs in 2019.
