-Jake Fisher: Jake is a sophomore who came to New Paltz after a year at junior college He’s an outstanding defensive catcher with a strong arm.
-Tyler Young: Tyler is another local product, coming from SUNY Ulster He’s an accomplished hitter with good power, and he’ll be looking to make an impact on offense this season.

-Mike Lopez: Mike is a junior who transferred to New Paltz from Stony Brook University. He’s a versatile infielder who can play both second base and third base.
-Chris Rodriguez: Chris is a freshman who comes to New Paltz from Florida Atlantic University He’s an outstanding defender at shortstop with good speed on the bases.
-Ryan McKenna: Ryan is a sophomore who transferred to New Paltz from Rider University. He plays first base and is one of the team’s best hitters, boasting good power and terrific discipline at the plate.

-Tommy Reilly: Tommy is a sophomore transfer from Seton Hall University. A left fielder with good speed, Tommy covers a lot of ground in the outfield and has a knack for getting on base.

Catchers:
– Senior captain Joe Nero is a four-year starter behind the plate. A patient hitter, Nero is a key contributor to the middle of the lineup.
– Junior Alex Maine has taken over primary catching duties this season. A versatile player, Maine also see time in the outfield and at first base.
Infielders:
– Senior Matt Caputo is a three-year starter at shortstop. A rangy gloveman with good instincts, Caputo is also one of the team’s top power hitters
– Junior Tommy Perez is in his second season as the starting second baseman. A speedy leadoff hitter, Perez is a catalyst for the offense.
– Sophomore third baseman Nick Falco is one of the Hawks’ most improved players. Falco has shown good power at the plate and steady progress defensively.
– Freshman Chris Medina has stepped into the starting role at first base as a freshman. Medina brings a strong bat and good glove to the middle of the Hawks’ lineup.
Outfielders:
– Senior left fielder Mike DiVincenzo is a four-year starter and key run producer in the heart of the New Paltz order. DiVincenzo is also a solid defender with a strong arm.
– Junior center fielder Greg Bachman provides speed and defense at the top of the Hawks’ lineup. Bachman led off last season and is again setting the table for New Paltz this year.

The New Paltz Baseball team is coached by Joe Zimmerman, who is entering his third season as Head Coach He led the team to a 21-13 record in his first season and followed that up with a 27-11 record and a trip to the NCAA Division III tournament in his second season.
Assistant coaches are Matt Cavotta and Willy Jones. Cavotta, who played at Division I Marist College, is entering his second season with New Paltz and specializes in hitting instruction. Jones, who pitched at Division II Pace University, is also entering his second season and works with pitchers.

The leading hitter for the Hawks is junior third baseman Alec Petkovsek who is batting .410 on the season. Senior first baseman Matt Jasinski has 4 home runs and 18 RBIs and is batting .372. On the pitching side, senior right-hander Chris Lorusso has a team-best 3.38 ERA in 9 appearances.
