The Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals Baseball Team is having a historic season. The team is ranked No. 1 in the country and is on pace to break the school record for wins in a season.

Most of the credit for the team’s success goes to its roster, which is loaded with talent. The team has five players who have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams, and several more who are sure to be drafted in the future.

Here’s a closer look at the team’s roster:

Pitchers
The Cardinals have one of the best pitching staffs in the country. The team has a combined ERA of 2.52, which is second in the nation.

The staff is led by ace pitcher Ryan Rolison, who was drafted in the first round by the Colorado Rockies Rolison has a perfect 8-0 record and a 0.86 ERA. He has struck out 79 batters in just 61 innings pitched

Rolison is joined by another first-Round Draft pick, Trevor Rogers. Rogers was drafted 13th overall by the Miami Marlins and has been nearly unhittable this season. He has a 7-1 record and a 1.29 ERA. Rogers has struck out 84 batters in 63 innings pitched.
