-Landon Hernandez is a sophomore who transferred from Oklahoma State University He is a middle infielder who batted .375 in his junior college career. So far this season, he is batting .286 with 1 home run and 15 RBIs.
-Ryan Yamane is a freshman who was recruited from Pearl City High School He is a shortstop who was voted as the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I Player of the Year. He is batting .258 with 11 RBIs so far this season.

-Cameron Ichikawa is a junior transfer from San Joaquin Delta College. He played center field in Junior College where he batted .333 with 1 home run and 15 RBIs. This season, he has started every game in left field and is batting .295 with 20 RBIs.
-Korey Von Rotz is a sophomore who was also recruited from Pearl City high school He played center field in high school but has primarily played right field for the Vulcans where he is batting .233 with 9 RBIs so far this season

The Vulcans began play in 1974, as an independent NCAA Division II team. They joined the Division II level Pacific West Conference in 1992. In 1998, the Vulcans won their first and only conference championship and qualified for the NCAA Division II tournament for the first time in school history. They qualified for the tournament again in 1999, but were eliminated in the Opening Round In 2000, they again qualified for the tournament and made it to the regional finals before losing to Chico State
