The History of Trine University Hockey
Trine University’s Hockey Team has a long and storied history, dating back to the early days of the sport. The team has won numerous championships over the years, and has produced some of the game’s greatest players Trine University is proud to have one of the most successful and respected hockey programs in the country.
The team first took the ice in the early 1900s, and quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with. The team won its first championship in 1904, and would go on to win many more in the years that followed. Trine University hockey alumni include some of the game’s greatest players such as Gordie Howe and Steve Yzerman.
Today, Trine University Hockey is as strong as ever. The team competes at the Division III level, and is consistently ranked among the nation’s best. Trine University is proud to continue its tradition of excellence in hockey, and looks forward to many more years of success on the ice.

Trine University Hockey is a Division III program that competes in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association The team is currently coached by Matt Sirianni, who has been at the helm since 2013. Under his leadership, the team has won 3 conference championships and made 2 appearances in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four.
The Fans of Trine University Hockey
The fans of Trine University Hockey are some of the most passionate and dedicated in all of college hockey They travel to away games, often road-tripping hundreds of miles to cheer on their team. On game days, they can be found tailgating in the parking lot, grilling food and enjoying drinks while socializing with other fans. When the game start, they are loud and enthusiastic, cheering on the team through good and bad times. And when the game ends win or lose, they stay until the very end to show their support.
The Rivalries of Trine University Hockey
Since its inception in 1974, Trine University Hockey has been a fierce competitor in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey League (MCHL). The team has held their own against some of the best teams in the country, and their rivalry with Adrian College is well-known.
The two schools have been competing against each other since 1976, and the rivalry is considered one of the best in collegiate hockey. The two teams have met in the MCHL Championship game eight times, with Trine winning six of those matchups.
In addition to their rivalry with Adrian, Trine also has a strong rivalry with fellow MCHL team Davenport University. The two teams have met in the MCHL Championship game four times, with Trine coming out on top three times.

The arena can seat up to 3,500 people and has a state-of-the-art sound system. The locker rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the training room is first-class.
The team also has access to an outdoor practice rink, which is used often in the fall and winter months. The practice rink is located behind Ketner Hall and is open to the public when not in use by the team.

These individuals have been entrusted with the responsibility of representing Trine University and its Hockey Program in a positive light and have done so with class and distinction.

They are the ones that their teammates look to for guidance and support, both on and off the ice. These young men have been selected to wear the “C” not only because of their skill as Hockey Players but also because of their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives.

The Trine University men’s Hockey team has been lucky enough to count many Great players among its alumni. These men have gone on to have successful careers in a variety of fields, but they all have one thing in common; they’re proud to be part of the Trine Hockey tradition.
