-Bryan Hammond: Bryan is a senior pitcher who has been with the team since 2016. He is one of the most experienced players on the roster and has been a key part of their success over the past few years.
-Cameron Spangler: Cameron is a junior infielder who has been with the team since 2017. He is one of the most talented hitters on the roster and provides a lot of power at the plate.
-Jake Wright: Jake is a sophomore pitcher who joined the team in 2018. He is one of the most promising young pitchers on the roster and has already shown glimpses of his potential.

Pitcher Jonathon Singer is one of the best in the Sun Belt Conference and he will be vital to the team’s success. He is coming off a season where he had a 3.50 ERA and struck out 103 batters in 100 innings pitched Look for him to be one of the leaders of the pitching staff this season.
Infielder Luke Reynolds is another player that will be key to the team’s success. He is a versatile player that can play multiple positions and he has a great bat. Last season, he hit .336 with 12 home runs and 54 RBI. He will be looked upon to provide some power in the lineup this season.
Outfielder Brayden Hawke is another player that will be important to the team’s success. He is a great contact hitter and he has some speed on the bases. Last season, he hit .303 with 24 stolen bases He will be counted on to get on base and score some runs this season.

Outfielders:
-Senior Austin Smith is a three-time All-American and the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. He’s a threat at the plate and on the bases, and he has a strong arm in the outfield.
-Junior Tanner Murphy is a two-time All-American and was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season. He’s an outstanding center fielder with great speed and a powerful bat.
-Sophomore Bryson Bowman was named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year last season. He’s an outstanding all-around player with a great arm in the outfield.
Infielders:
-Senior Justin Harrer is a two-time All-American and was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season. He’s one of the best shortstops in the country, with great range and a strong arm.
-Junior Braden Barry is a two-time All-American and was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year last season. He’s an outstanding third baseman with a powerful bat.
-Sophomore Drew Ellis was named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Yearlast season. He’s an outstanding all-around player with a great arm at first base.
Pitchers:
-Senior Jake Zokan is a two-time All-American and was named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year last season. He’s App State’s ace, with a fastball that reaches 96 mph and a devastating slider.
-Junior Zachary Brown is a two time All American, Brown has an electric arm and led App State in strikeouts last season with 112..He was also named second team all conference as well as conference tournament MVP
The App State Baseball Roster: The Newcomers
TheApp State baseball team is looking to repeat as Sun Belt champions in 2020, and they will have a few new faces on the roster. Here are the newcomers that will be suiting up for the Mountaineers this season.
Pitchers
-Shane Cox: A transfer from Northwest Florida State College, Cox was a member of the junior college National Championship team in 2019. He was named a Panhandle conference tournament MVP and was also named to the all-tournament team.
-Carson Spiers: A transfer from USC Upstate Spiers was named to the Southern Conference all-freshman team in 2018 after going 5-2 with a 3.72 ERA.
-Jake Jones: A native of Melbourne, Australia, Jones comes to App State after playing two seasons at Eastern Florida State College. In 2019, he pitched to a 2.70 ERA with five saves.
Infielders
-Tyler Adams: Adams comes to App State from Wabash Valley College, where he hit .358 with five home runs and 32 RBIs in 2019. He was named an NJCAA honorable mention All-American and was also named first-team all-region and all-conference.
-Dylan Enwiller: Enwiller transfers to App State from Saddleback College, where he hit .333 with 11 home runs and 50 RBIs in 2019. He was named first-team all-conference and all-region and was also an NJCAA all-American honorable mention.
Outfielders
-Jake Sprinkle: Sprinkle comes to App State from Georgia Highlands College, where he hit .377 with 13 Home Runs and 43 RBIs in 2019. He was named first-team all-conference and all-region and helped lead his team to the JUCO World Series
--Andrew Noviello: Noviello transfers to App State from Shenandoah University where he hit .304 with four home runs and 23 RBIs in 2019. He was named second-team all Mid Atlantic Conference as a junior

The App State Baseball Roster is loaded with veteran talent that will be key to the team’s success this season. The core group of players return from last year’s squad that went 30-27 overall and finished second in the Sun Belt Conference standings.
The Mountaineers will be led by senior catcher Matt Mendenhall, who was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference team. Mendenhall is a two-time All-Conference selection and he hit .333 with eight home runs and 40 RBI last season. He will be joined by fellow seniors Brendon Hayden, Chandler James, and Luke Kaczmarek in the starting lineup
Hayden, an outfielder, is a three-year starter who hit .305 with four home runs and 26 RBI last season. James, a first baseman, was named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year after hitting .330 with eight home runs and 38 RBI. Kaczmarek, a pitcher, returns after leading the team in wins (9) and strikeouts (103) last season.
The App State baseball roster also features several talented young players who will be looking to make an impact this season. Sophomores Eli Mecham (pitcher), Connor Johnson (infielder), and Justincallback (outfielder) all saw significant playing time as freshmen last season and they will be counted on to contribute again this year. Freshmen pitchers CJ Polk and Lawson Humphries will also be looking to make their mark on the team.
