The Big XII conference is made up of twelve schools located across the United States The conference is split into two divisions: the North and the South. These divisions are further split into two sub-divisions: the East and the West. Each school plays each other school in its division twice during the regular season The top two teams in each division advance to the conference tournament which is held at a neutral site.
The Teams
The Big XII baseball conference is made up of 10 teams: Baylor, Iowa State Kansas, Kansas State Oklahoma, Oklahoma State TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia These teams play each other in a round robin format during the regular season The top 4 teams advance to the Conference Tournament which is a double-elimination format.

The Playoffs
It’s that time of year again when college baseball teams are vying for a spot in the Big XII conference tournament The top eight teams in the conference will compete in the double-elimination tournament, which will be held May 23-28 at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas.
So, who’s on top? As of May 13, here are the standings:
1. Texas Tech (42-14, 21-6)
2. Baylor (38-15, 18-9)
3. TCU (36-16, 16-11)
4. Oklahoma State (37-17, 16-11)
5. West Virginia (32-20, 14-13)
6. Kansas State (33-18, 13-14)
7. Oklahoma (31-20, 12-15)
8. Iowa State (31-21, 11-16)
The top four seeds will earn a first round bye in the tournament. The first round games will pit the 5th seed vs. the 8th seed and the 6th seed vs. the 7th seed on May 23. The winners of those games will then advance to play the 1st and 4th seeds respectively on May 24, while the losers will play each other in an elimination game on May 25. From there, it’s single elimination until a champion is crowned on May 28.
So far this season, Texas Tech has been the conference’s best team and they come into the tournament as the top seed and defending champions. They’ll be looking to repeat but they’ll have some stiff competition from Baylor and TCU who are both having great seasons as well. It should be a great tournament and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top!

In terms of recent success, it is hard to deny that the two best teams in the conference right now are TCU and Oklahoma State The Horned Frogs have won the Conference tournament 3 times in the last 5 years, and they have also made it to the College World Series twice in that span. Oklahoma State has not been quite as successful in recent years but they did win the conference tournament in 2016 and they made it to the College World Series in 2017.
