Looking for a way to stay cool this summer? Come out to Bowling Green Ballpark and root for the Hot Rods! This season, the Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays is sure to bring excitement to every fan.
The home opener is Thursday, April 11th at 7:05 pm against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free magnet schedule, so get there early!
Here are some other important games to note:
-July 3rd vs Lansing Lugnuts: Post-game fireworks show set to patriotic music
-July 17th vs West Michigan Whitecaps “Military Appreciation Night” – all veterans and active military personnel receive free admission with valid ID

The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a minor league baseball team that plays in the Midwest League. The team is based in Bowling Green Kentucky, and is the Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays The Hot Rods play their home games at Bowling Green Ballpark, which opened in 2009.
The team’s name refers to the city’s automotive manufacturing industry, as well as to the “hot rodding” culture associated with it. The Hot Rods began play in 2010, replacing the previous Midwest League team in town, the South Bend Silver Hawks.
2016 was a record-setting year for the Hot Rods. The team set franchise records for wins (84), home wins (43), and attendance (183,717). They also made the playoffs for the first time in team history, and won the Midwest League Championship
2017 started off strong for the Hot Rods as well. As of June 1st, they have a record of 33-22, good for first place in their division.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods are the Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays The team plays in the Midwest League and is based in Bowling Green Kentucky, in the United States The team began play as the Southwest Michigan Devils in 1995 and were known as the Battle Creek Dragons from 2001 to 2008. They have played their home games at Bowling Green Ballpark since 2009. The Hot Rods won the Midwest League Championship in 2010 and 2019.

This season, the Bowling Green Hot Rods are partnering with The Salvation Army to help those in need in our community. We are committed to giving back and making a difference and we invite you to join us!
Below is a schedule of days when we will be collecting items for The Salvation Army. Donations can be dropped off at the ballpark during regular business hours on the dates listed. We will also be collecting items at select Home Games – stay tuned for more information on those dates!

History
The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League baseball team of the Midwest League and the Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. They are located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and play their home games at Bowling Green Ballpark which opened in 2009 and seats 6,402 fans. The park is also the home of Western Kentucky University’s football team. The team’s name refers to the city’s car culture and to the famous “Woodward Dream Cruise” held each year in Detroit, Michigan.
The Hot Rods franchise began in 2001 as the South Georgia Waves, playing in Brunswick, Georgia. They were an unaffiliated team until 2005 when they became a Florida Marlins affiliate. In 2007, they became an Atlanta Braves affiliate for one season before becoming Tampa Bay Rays in 2008.
Prior to the 2017 season, the Hot Rods won back-to-back division championships in 2015 and 2016.
