6. CHS basketball coaching Staff
Meet the Centerville high school Basketball coaching staff! Our head coach is Jordan Thomas, who has been with the program for four years. Coach Thomas is a Centerville native and played his high school ball here at CHS before going on to play at the collegiate level. He’s excited to be back home and leading our team to success on the court.
Assistant coach Justin Smith is in his first year with the program. Coach Smith comes to us from Franklin high school where he was an assistant coach for their varsity team He’s a skilled tactician and has been a huge asset to our team this season.
Rounding out our staff is strength and Conditioning Coach Tim Davis. Coach Davis has over 20 years of experience working with athletes of all levels, from youth to professional. He’s helped our players get stronger and faster, and we’re seeing the results on the court.

The Centerville High School Basketball Booster Club is a non-profit volunteer organization that is dedicated to promoting and supporting the game of basketball at Centerville high school We are committed to providing our student-athletes with the opportunity to compete at the highest level possible by raising funds for uniforms, equipment, travel expenses and other costs associated with operating a successful program.
We rely on the generous support of our members and community to make this happen. We invite you to become a member of the CHS Basketball Booster Club today!

The following is a list of Centerville High School’s Basketball Alumni their years of graduation, and their post-high school basketball accomplishments.
– Steve Johnson Class of 1981: Went on to play college basketball at the University of Iowa Was a member of the Hawkeyes’ 1982 NCAA championship team. drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 1985 NBA draft Played three seasons in the NBA with the Pacers and the Los Angeles Lakers.
– Kent Williams, Class of 1992:Played college basketball at Marquette University Became a member of the Golden Eagles’ 1994 NCAA Final Four team. Was drafted by the Miami Heat in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft Played six seasons in the NBA with the Heat, Detroit Pistons Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics
– Mark Swanson, Class of 1999: Played College Basketball at Northern Iowa University. Was a member of UNI’s 2004 NCAA tournament team.

The boys’ team has a long tradition of winning and the girls’ team is quickly making a name for themselves.
