The team has qualified for EuroBasket nine times, most recently in 2021. The Czechs’ best results at the continental tournament were 7th place finishes in 1937 and 1947. They also claimed the bronze medal at the FIBA World Championship in 1950, when they finished third behind the United States and Argentina.

The most prominent fan group is Česká Basketbalová Federace (Czech Basketball Federation), which was founded in 2008. They are commonly known as “ČBF”, and their main goal is to support the development of basketball in the Czech Republic. There are also other smaller fan groups, such as “Na Špici” or “Na Palubě”.
