Ole Miss defeated Tennessee 4-2 yesterday in their first SEC series of the season. Starting pitcher Will Ethridge went 6.2 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out four. It was a strong start to the day for the Rebels, who got offense from several different sources. Grae Kessinger had two hits, including a home run and drove in three runs. Cole Zabowski and Tim Elko each had two hits as well. The win improved Ole Miss’ record to 16-4 on the season and 1-2 in SEC play.

Ole Miss Baseball will take on Arkansas this week in a three-game series The first game will be on Wednesday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi. The second game will be on Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m., also at Swayze Field. The third and final game of the series will be on Friday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m., at Baum Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Ole Miss Baseball had a busy week, with games against The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB), and the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL).
The Rebels started the week off strong with a 9-2 victory over USM. The game was highlighted by a two-run homer from sophomore first baseman Tim Elko in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freshman pitcher Will Ethridge got the win, while junior relief pitcher Dallas Woolfolk picked up his third save of the season.
The next day, Ole Miss took on UAB and won 11-1. Once again, Elko had a big game hitting two home runs and driving in four runs. Sophomore pitcher Ryan Rolison got the win, pitching six innings and giving up just one run.
Ole Miss closed out the week with a 12-5 win over ULL. Elko continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs. Woolfolk got his fourth save of the season, while senior pitcher Brady Feigl picked up the win.
