The Drake Basketball Schedule is Here! The much anticipated 2019-2020 Drake Men’s Basketball Schedule has finally been released. Check it out below to see when and where your favorite team will be playing.
The Schedule:
The Drake Bulldogs will open their 2019-20 season at home against the Truman Bulldogs on Tuesday, November 5th. Their Conference Schedule will have them playing Missouri State Bradley, and Northern Iowa twice each. They will end their regular season on Saturday, March 7th at Valley West Gym against Evansville.

The Drake Men’s basketball team has announced their home games for the upcoming season! Here are the details:
The Bulldogs will play a total of 17 home games this season, including 11 conference matchups. They will open the season at home against South Dakota on November 10th and will close out the regular season at home against Bradley on March 3rd.
Drake will have several marquee matchups at home this season, including a December 1st showdown against in-state rival Iowa State and a February 16th contest against Missouri Valley Conference powerhouse Wichita State

The Drake Basketball team is a NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The team is currently coached by Darian DeVries, who was hired on March 26, 2019, after serving as an Assistant Coach at Iowa State DeVries succeeds Niko Medved who resigned to take the head coaching job at Colorado State

Drake basketball is back, and the schedule is here! Head Coach Darian DeVries and his staff have announced the Bulldogs’ non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
The Bulldogs will open the season at home against former Missouri Valley Conference foe Illinois State on Tuesday, November 5. That game will tip off at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a home contest against North Carolina A&T on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m.

The word “fans” is short for “fanatics,” and that’s exactly what we are: die-hard, loyal supporters of our team who live and breathe basketball. We live for the moments when the ball hits nothing but net, when our team is on a roll, and when we walk out of the arena victorious.
The Arena:
Now that the Drake Basketball Schedule is here, fans can start planning their trips to see the Bulldogs in action! The team will be playing in a variety of venues this season, including the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City and the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
The History:
It all started in 1906 when the school now known as Drake University first fielded a men’s Basketball team Since then, the program has undergone several changes, most notably the switch from Division I to Division II in 1953. After nearly 60 years of success at the Division II level, the Bulldogs made the move back to Division I in 2008.
Drake has competed in the Missouri Valley Conference since 1992. The Bulldogs have won 13 MVC Regular Season titles and 12 MVC tournament championships.
The Rivalries:
A new season of basketball means a lot of things: new players, new stats, and of course, a new schedule. The Drake Bulldogs have released their schedule for the upcoming season and there are some can’t-miss games. Here are a few of the most anticipated match-ups:
The Bulldogs will face off against their in-state rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes twice this season. The first game will be at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on December 12th, followed by a return match at the Knapp Center on February 27th. These games are always heated, so make sure you’re in your seat early!
Drake will also take on the Northern Iowa Panthers three times this season. The first game will be at the McLeod Center on December 15th. Then, the two teams will travel to Des Moines for a doubleheader at Wells Fargo Arena on February 1st. The Panthers will make one final trip to Drake’s home court on February 23rd. These games are always close, so don’t miss them!
