Emmanuel College player dies in tragic accident
Emmanuel college basketball player Jordan Thomas died in a tragic accident on Saturday night.
Thomas, a sophomore at Emmanuel, was killed when the car he was driving collided with a tree. He was 20 years old.
The accident occurred around 11 pm on Saturday night in Thomas’ hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emmanuel College released a statement on Sunday morning expressing their sorrow at the loss of Thomas.

Hardy, 21, was a passenger in a car that hit a concrete median and then crashed into a tree in Worcester, Mass. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, 21-year-old Kendrick Smith, survived the accident and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.
“This is a tragic loss for our community,” said Emmanuel College President Sister Janet Eisner, SND. “Chauncey was an extraordinary young man with a bright future ahead of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
Hardy was a native of Springfield, Mass., and had been attending Emmanuel College since fall 2009. He was majoring in business administration and was a member of the men’s basketball team

On March 5th, 2017, tragedy struck the Emmanuel College community when 22-year-old basketball player Daniel Bradford passed away in a car accident.
