Highlights
The ETBU Tigers are looking forward to an exciting season of basketball! Here are some of the highlights:
-The Tigers will open the season with a Home game against McMurry on November 6th.
-On November 8th, the Tigers will travel to Tyler to take on UT Tyler.
-ETBU will host a tournament from November 10th-12th, with games against Austin College, LeTourneau, and Concordia.
-The Tigers will take on Howard Payne at home on December 1st.

As the Basketball season approaches, the ETBU tigers are getting ready to take the court! Here are some interviews with the team to get you pumped for the action:
Interview with Coach Tony Amoore:
Q: What are your thoughts on the upcoming season?
A: We’re looking good. We’ve had a great preseason and we’re ready to take on all comers.
Q: Who are some of the players to watch this season?
A: Our whole team is full of talent but if I had to pick a few names I’d say look out for Jamal Johnson, Jordan Brown, and Xavier Murray. They’re all ready to make an impact.
Interview with Jamal Johnson:
Q: What’s your mindset going into this season?
A: I’m just trying to stayfocused and help my team win. We have a lot of talent and I think we can go far if we all work together.
Q: Who’s your pick to win it all?
A: I think we have a good chance. But there are a lot of good teams out there, so it’s hard to say for sure.
Press conferences
The men’s and women’s basketball teams at East Texas Baptist University will be holding separate press conferences on Monday, October 5th to discuss their upcoming seasons. The press conferences will be held in the Tiger Athletic Complex on the ETBU campus. Head Coach Jason Gibson will speak first at 3:00pm, followed by head coach Alan Weddington at 3:30pm.

The ETBU Tigers men’s Basketball team represents East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas, United States The school’s team currently competes in the American West Conference They are currently coached by Josh Prock.
The Tigers have appeared in ten NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournaments Their combined record is 4–10.
In 2017, Head Coach Josh Prock led the Tigers to their second ASC Championship and their first NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament berth since 2009 with a 20-9 overall record and a 13-5 conference record. The Tigers defeated Belhaven in the ASC Championship game to clinch the championship and the automatic berth into the NCAA tournament The Tigers lost to Linfield in the Opening Round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament
