The team will open up the season at home on February 22nd against Mercyhurst, and they will close out the regular season on May 10th at home against Seton Hill In between, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch the Bobcats in action.
One of the highlights of the season will be Frostburg’s trip to Myrtle Beach for the Ripken Experience tournament. The tournament runs from March 8th-10th, and features some of the best college baseball teams in the country. Frostburg will play four games over the course of three days, against teams from all over the country. This is a great opportunity to see some top-Level Baseball and it’s also a chance to support your team on their first road trip of the season.

The Team
The Frostburg State University Bobcats Baseball Team is a NCAA Division III level team that competes in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. The Bobcats are coached by Steve Fankhauser, who is in his fourth season as the team’s Head Coach He is assisted by pitching coach Ryan D’ ambrosia and hitting coach Zach Duvall. The Bobcats play their home games at Bobcat Stadium, which is located on the campus of Frostburg State University

The Stadium
Frostburg State University’s home baseball games are played at Bobcat Stadium. The stadium is located on the southwest side of campus, just behind the Intramural Fields. Parking is available in Lot 1, which is adjacent to the stadium.
Bobcat Stadium opened in 2002 and has a capacity of 500 spectators. The stadium features a Press Box, concession stand restrooms, and bleacher seating.
The Rivalries

The Future:
The future of Frostburg baseball looks bright as the team has made great strides over the past few years. The team has compiled a 138-83 record over the past four seasons, good for a .625 winning percentage. The team has also won three conference championships and made two trips to the NCAA Division III tournament during that span. The team is returning a strong core of players from last year’s squad that helped lead Frostburg to a 30-15 record, its second-best mark in program history. With a mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers, the Bobcats are poised to make another run at a conference title and return to the NCAA Tournament in 2019.
