Gonzaga Basketball Alumni Adam Morrison

Adam Morrison is a Gonzaga Basketball alumni who was drafted into the NBA in 2006. He played for the Charlotte Bobcats and the Los Angeles Lakers before going to play overseas. Morrison is now retired from Professional Basketball

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Austin Daye

In 2008, Austin Daye was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 15th overall pick in the NBA draft Although he played for three different NBA teams during his career, he is best known for his time with the Pistons. In 2013, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors where he played for one season before being waived. He then had brief stints with the San Antonio Spurs and the Memphis Grizzlies Daye last played professionally in 2016.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Blake Stepp

Blake Stepp is a retired American professional basketball player who played point guard for Gonzaga University from 2000 to 2004. During his college career, he was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004. He is also Gonzaga’s All-time leading scorer with 2,142 points. After going undrafted in the 2004 NBA Draft Stepp played professionally in Europe and Asia for several years.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Dan Dickau

Dickau starred for the Bulldogs from 1999 to 2002, leading Gonzaga to back-to-back West Coast Conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances. He was named the WCC Player of the Year in 2001 and 2002, and was a consensus First Team All-American in 2002. Dickau was drafted 28th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2002 NBA Draft but his NBA Career never took off and he bounced around overseas before retiring in 2013.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Derek Raivio

Derek Raivio is a Gonzaga Basketball alumni who played for the team from 2003-2007. Raivio was born in Vancouver, Washington and attended High School in nearby Battle Ground. He then went on to play four years of college basketball at Gonzaga, where he was a part of the Bulldogs’ successful 2004-05 season that ended with a Elite Eight appearance. After graduation, Raivio played professionally overseas for several years before returning to the States to play in the NBA D-League He is currently an Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Gonzaga University.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Jeremy Pargo

Jeremy Pargo is a basketball alumni of Gonzaga University, who now plays in the NBA. Pargo was born in Chicago and played high school basketball in Oakland, California. He was not highly recruited out of high school but chose to attend Gonzaga because of its good Basketball Program and its proximity to his home in Washington State Pargo played for Gonzaga from 2004 to 2008, and was part of the team that made it to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament in 2009. He was not drafted by an NBA team but played for various teams in Europe and Israel before signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013. Pargo has also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Josh Heytvelt was a star basketball player for Gonzaga University from 2004 to 2008. After being drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft he played professionally in Europe and Israel before returning to the U.S. to play in the NBA G League Heytvelt now works as a skills development coach for the Portland Trail Blazers

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Kevin Pangos
You may not know his name, but if you’re a fan of Gonzaga basketball then you definitely know his game. Kevin Pangos is one of the greatest Gonzaga basketball players of all time. From 2011 to 2015, Pangos became one of the most decorated Zags ever, leading the team to four consecutive West Coast conference championships and statement wins over some of college basketball’s biggest programs. When his collegiate career came to an end, Pangos left Gonzaga as the school’s all-time leader in assists (651) and three-point field goals made (266).

Pangos was born in Holland Landing, Ontario, in 1992. He developed a love for basketball at an early age and played for various AAU teams in Canada before eventually enrolling at Denison high school in Granville, Ohio. While at Denison, Pangos led his team to a state championship and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Ohio in 2010. He then committed to playing college basketball at Gonzaga University.

As a freshman at Gonzaga, Pangos quickly established himself as one of the best players on the team. He averaged 10.8 points and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 42% from three-point range as the Zags went 27-7 and reached the NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteen Pangos was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team and won WCC Freshman of the Year honors.

Pangos continued to improve as a sophomore, averaging 12.6 points and 5 assists per game as Gonzaga went 26-7 and once again reached the NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteen He was named to the All-WCC First Team and won WCC Co-Player of the Year honors with BYU’s Jimmer Fredette.

Pangos had his best season as a junior in 2012-13, averaging 14 points and 5.4 assists per game as he led Gonzaga to a 32-3 record and a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament The Zags ultimately fell short of their goals, however, losing in the Round of 32 to Wichita State Pangos was again named to the All-WCC First Team and won WCC Co-Player of the Year honors with Creighton’s Doug McDermott.

Pangos had another strong season as a senior in 2013-14, averaging 13 points and 4 assists per game as he helped lead Gonzaga to a 29-6 record and another appearance in the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen. He was once again named to the All-WCC First Team and earned WCC Defensive Player of the Year honors for his effort on both ends of the court. When his collegiate career came to an end, PangOS left Gonzaga as one of its most decorated players ever.

After graduation, Kevin Pangos signed with Greek club Panathinaikos Athens with whom he won a League Championship in 2016. He currently plays for HC Zalgiris Kaunas of Lithuania where he helped lead them to a LKL championship in 2018.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Matt Bouldin

Matt Bouldin is a former Gonzaga University basketball player who now plays professionally in Europe. He was born in Missoula, Montana and is the son of two former University of Montana athletes. Matt played high school basketball at Sharette Catholic high school in Billings, Montana. He was named Montana’s Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in 2006. Bouldin then played collegiately for Gonzaga from 2006 to 2010. As a senior, he was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year and led the Bulldogs to their first ever number one ranking in the Associated Press Poll.

Following his senior season, Bouldin was not selected in the 2010 NBA draft He began his professional career with Slovenian team Union Olimpija. In 2011, he moved to Turkey to play for Mersin BB of the Turkish Basketball League (TBL). After one season in Turkey, Bouldin returned to Slovenia to play for Helios Suns. In 2013, he signed with Colombian team Bucaramanga of the Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB). In 2014, he returned to Turkey to play for Aliağa Petkim of the TBL.

Gonzaga Basketball Alumni: Ronny Turiaf

Ronny Turiaf is a French professional basketball player who last played for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represented the French national team in international competitions. Standing at 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m), he plays the center position.

Turiaf was born in Le Robert, Martinique, an island territory of France located in the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean Sea. When he was four years old his family moved to Paris, France. He began playing basketball at age 13. Turiaf started his pro career in 2002–03 with club EFES Pilsen S.K. of Ankara, Turkey
