Williams played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers from 2016 to 2019. As a freshman, he averaged 12.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game and was named SEC Freshman of the Year. In his sophomore season, Williams averaged 15.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and was named SEC Player of the Year. In his junior season, he averaged 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, and was once again named SEC Player of the Year.”
