1. April 28 vs. Guilford – The Quakers are Hampden Sydney’s biggest rivals, and this game will have major implications for the conference tournament seedings.

2. May 12 vs Bridgewater – Another key conference game that could determine whether Hampden Sydney earns the top seed in the ODAC tournament.

3. May 16-19 ODAC Tournament – The Tigers will be aiming for their fifth trip to the NCAA Division III World Series and they’ll have to go through some tough competition in order to get there.

4. June 1-4 NCAA Division III World Series – If Hampden Sydney can make it back to the World Series they’ll have a chance to finish what they started in 2016 and win it all this time around.

The players

The Hampden Sydney baseball team is composed of 26 student athletes who are committed to working hard both on and off the field. The team has a long-standing tradition of success, winning 15 conference championships and six Division III World Series appearances. The 2021 season will be one to watch, with the team returning 22 players from last year’s squad. Get to know the men who will be representing Hampden Sydney College on the diamond this spring!

The Venues

Hampton Sydney baseball offers fans a wide range of options when it comes to venues. The school’s main stadium, Wheeler Field, is a top-notch facility that has been hosting games since the early 1900s. Additionally, the team often plays at other well-known venues around Virginia, such as Longwood University’s baseball field and the Richmond Braves Stadium. No matter where you catch a Hampton Sydney game, you’re sure to have a great time.

The Media

The Hampden-Sydney College Tigers Baseball Team is one of the most successful in the nation. The team has numerous conference and National Championships to their credit, and they consistently rank among the top teams in Division III

The Tigers play their home games at Burton Field, located on campus just off of Main Street. The field is named after former Hampden-Sydney head coach and administrator, William “Bill” Burton. Burton Field has a capacity of 1,000 spectators and features a press box, concession stand and bathrooms.
