Heartland Baseball is back, and the schedule has been announced! Here’s a quick overview of what to expect this season.

The season kicks off on May 4th with a Home game against the Omaha Storm Chasers From there, the team will head out on a short road trip before returning home for a three-game series against the Memphis Redbirds

May is a busy month for the team, with games nearly every day. There are some lengthy road trips mixed in, but also some fun home series against rivals like the Iowa Cubs and the Nashville Sounds.

June starts with another home stand, this time against the Albuquerque Isotopes. After that, the team hits the road for most of the month, with their longest road trip of the season taking them through Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

The schedule slows down in July, with only two home games scheduled for the entire month. However, those two games are sure to be fan favorites: The first is Independence Day Weekendagainst the cross-town rival Kansas City T-Bones, and the second is another showdown with the Iowa Cubs.

Heartland Baseball wraps up its regular season in August with a final home stand against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox From there, it’s playoffs time, so be sure to get your tickets early!

The Home Opener: April 3
No baseball season is complete without going to the home opener. This year, the Heartland will be playing the Greenville Grasshoppers. The game starts at 7:05 pm, and there will be plenty of food and drink vendors open in case you get hungry.

The Rivalry Game: May 29
The Heartland play their biggest rivals, the St. Louis Stallions, on Memorial Day weekend. This game is always a sell-out, so make sure you get your tickets early. The game starts at 1:05 pm.

The final game of the Season: September 3
The last game of the season is always an emotional one, but this year it’s extra special because it’s also Fan Appreciation Day. Make sure you get to the stadium early so you can snag some freebies from your favorite team The game starts at 1:05 pm.

The Heartland Baseball Schedule The Key Dates

The Heartland Baseball Schedule is out, and we’ve got all the key dates highlighted for you!

Opening Day is always a big deal, and this year it falls on Friday, April 6th. The Home Opener is set for Saturday, April 7th against the Fort Wayne Tincaps.

There are plenty of other big games throughout the season. Memorial Day Weekend will feature a three-game set against the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and 4th of July Weekend will see the ‘Caps take on the South Bend Cubs.

Labor Day Weekend will be here before you know it, and that means another three-game set against the Hot Rods

The final home stand of the season will be September 13-16 against the Lansing Lugnuts.

After a successful inaugural season in 2018, the Heartland baseball league is back with even more games and more excitement. So mark your calendars and get ready for some heart-pounding baseball action

The Heartland baseball league is made up of six teams: the Nebraska Cornhuskers the Iowa Hawkeyes the Missouri Tigers the Kansas Jayhawks the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns All six teams will play each other in a round-robin format, meaning each team will play every other team four times. The top four teams at the end of the regular season will advance to the postseason.

The 2019 season kicks off on May 31st with a matchup between the Cornhuskers and the Jayhawks at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. The home games for each team are as follows:
