Hiram Women’s Basketball is a team on the rise. Founded in 2014, they have improved every year, culminating in their best season yet in 2017-2018. They finished the regular season with a record of 18-4, good for second place in the conference. They also made it to the conference semifinals, where they lost to eventual champion Baldwin Wallace

Despite their success, Hiram is still a relatively unknown team. That is starting to change though, as word of their success is beginning to spread. The team is led by Head Coach Erin Lawler, who has done an excellent job of building the program from scratch. Coach Lawler has instilled a strong work ethic and sense of camaraderie in her team, which has been a big part of their success.

The core of the team is made up of seniors Leah Crile and Carlee Clymer, who have been with the program since its inception. They have been instrumental in helping to build the culture and set the tone for what Hiram Women’s Basketball is all about. Both players are excellent shooters and have been All-Conference selections multiple times.

In just four years, the Hiram Women’s basketball team has turned things around.

They went from having a record of 1-23 in the 2015-2016 season to 16-12 in the 2018-2019 season. This past season, they also made it to the semi-finals of the Great Lakes conference tournament

The team is led by Head coach Jodie Holcomb, who was named the Great Lakes Conference Coach of the Year this past season. She is assisted by Nathan Bower and Lindsey Owens.

The team has had six all-conference players in the past four years and two academic all-district players.
