Under Coach Cozart’s tutelage, the team has set program records for wins in a season, made three trips to the NCAA Tournament and produced numerous Major League Baseball draft picks With a strong core of returning players and exciting new recruits, the future looks bright for HPU baseball.

Detwiler, in his fourth season as Assistant Coach has helped the team to a regular season conference record of 28-22 and a conference tournament record of 5-3. He has been named Conference assistant coach of the Year twice.

The two coaches have different approaches to the game, but they work well together. Pipolo is more laid-back while Detwiler is more intense. This combination has helped the team to find success on the field.

The Schedule of HPU Baseball

The High Point University baseball team will have their home opener on Friday, February 15th against the University of Maryland at Willard Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and it will be the first game of a three-game series

HPU will also have home games against George Mason (March 1-3), Liberty (March 8-10), Virginia Tech (March 15-17), UNC Greensboro (April 5-7), James Madison (April 19-21), andRadford (April 26-28).
