New Additions to the Team

The La Lumiere Basketball team is excited to announce its new additions for the upcoming season!

Joining the varsity team are:

-#11 point guard R.J. Barrett, a 6’7″ Canadian native who was ranked #1 in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2018 and is considered one of the best players in the country;

-#14 shooting guard Tyrese Haliburton a 6’5″ Iowa native who was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Iowa and was a top-10 recruit in the class of 2018;

-#21 small forward Zion Williamson a 6’7″ South Carolina native who was ranked #2 in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2018 and is considered one of the best players in the country.

#1: Josh Jackson – Guard
Josh is a 6’3″ guard from Detroit, Michigan. He is ranked as the #1 player in the nation by ESPN and is committed to play at the University of Kansas next season.

#2: Harry Giles – Forward
Harry is a 6’10” forward from Winston-Salem, North Carolina He is ranked as the #2 player in the nation by ESPN and is committed to play at Duke University next season.

#3: Jayson Tatum – Forward
Jayson is a 6’8″ forward from St. Louis, Missouri. He is ranked as the #3 player in the nation by ESPN and is committed to play at Duke University next season.

#4: De’Aaron Fox – Guard
De’Aaron is a 6’4″ guard from Houston, Texas. He is ranked as the #5 player in the nation by ESPN and is committed to play at Kentucky next season.

The Team’s Strengths

The La Lumiere basketball team is gearing up for an exciting season. The team’s strengths include experience, size, and depth.

The starting five will be made up of seniors Jaden Ivey and Keion Brooks, junior Isaiah Stewart, and sophomores Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin This group has a combined total of 12 years of varsity experience. They are also tall, with an average height of 6’7″, and have a lot of firepower, averaging a combined 27 points per game last season.

The team’s bench is also strong, with junior Tyger Campbell and sophomore Luke Goode providing valuable minutes. Both players are quick and aggressive on defense and can score when called upon.
