Since the sports teams at Lafayette Jefferson High School were integrated in 1967, the boys’ basketball team has seen little success. In recent years however, the team has begun to improve, and this season they are one of the best teams in the state!
The team’s success is due in part to their new Head Coach Mark Smith. Coach Smith has instilled a new sense of discipline and determination in his players, and they are now playing with a level of confidence that was absent in previous years.
