The Pack women’s Basketball team lost to the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday afternoon, falling by a final score of 72-64.

It was a close game throughout, with neither team leading by more than six points. The Blue Devils took a slim lead into halftime, but the Wolfpack fought back in the second half and took a brief lead midway through the fourth quarter.

However, Duke went on a late run to seal the victory, handing the Wolfpack their fifth loss of the season.

Leading the way for Duke was senior guard Chelsea Gray, who scored 21 points and added seven assists. For the Wolfpack, junior guard Marissa Kastanek was the top scorer with 15 points.

With the loss, the Wolfpack’s record falls to 12-5 overall and 2-3 in ACC play. They will look to get back on track when they host Florida State on Thursday night

The Pack women’s basketball team fell to the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday, December 8th by a score of 55-61. The loss takes the Pack to 3-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play

The Wildcats were led by freshman guard Rhyne Howard, who scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Howard also had eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the game. Sophomore center KeKe McKinney was also in double figures for Kentucky, scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds.

For the Pack, senior guard Aislinn Konig was the leading scorer, putting up 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Konig also had four rebounds and three assists in the game. Senior forward Lena Naslund was second on the team in scoring with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, and she also had a team-high eight rebounds.

The Pack will be back in action on Thursday, December 12th when they travel to take on conference foe Pittsburgh. That game is set to tip off at 6:00 PM and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

The Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team (9-16, 4-11 Horizon) couldn’t slow down the Wright State Raiders (19-6, 12-3 Horizon) on Saturday afternoon, falling by a final score of 75-52 at the Resch Center.

Wright State used a 10-2 run midway through the first quarter to build an early lead and would not relinquish it for the remainder of the contest. The Raiders entered halftime with a 39-23 lead and extended their advantage to 20 points, 58-38, by the end of the third quarter.

Green Bay was led in scoring by freshmanAbby Gerrits (Appleton, Wis.), who tallied 11 points in the losing effort. SeniorJenna Cerra (Franklin, Wis.) was the only other Phoenix player to finish in double figures, scoring 10 points. Wright State had four players reach double figures in scoring, led by senior Maddie Bischof with 15 points.

The Phoenix will return to action on Thursday Night when they travel to Indianapolis to take on IUPUI. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at The Jungle.

The leading scorer for the Pack was freshman forward Ashley Santos, who had 12 points. The leading scorer for the Tar Heels was junior guard Emily and Paul, who had 18 points.

The NC State women’s Basketball team fell to Duke on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 73-60. With the loss, the Pack falls to 9-9 overall and 1-5 in the ACC. Duke improves to 13-4 on the season and 3-2 in conference play with the win.
